chucklesthescot I read Anne Boleyn and Me which was a good short read for task 25.3, and I've moved on to the pretty crap Dark Touch: Shadows by Amy Meredith for part B of task 25.2. Normally I'd have abandoned it but I don't have another book to read for this task so I have to get it finished!

Yeah I am working 12 today too, but since I work as a supervisor in a plant above anywhere from 10-50 people a day reading at work is not an option. Only during my breaks that I can sneak away for.

now onto The Postmistress for the bookmarks magazine task...and i'm reading Girls Gone Mild: Young Women Reclaim Self-Respect and Find It's Not Bad to Be Good a chapter or so a night, i'm a bit conflicted with it right now but its an interesting read

I'm bringing along Crocodile on the Sandbank (almost finished), Coffee: A Dark History (pecking away at this one), Bored of the Rings: A Parody of J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and The Glass-Blowers.
That should cover all reading "moods" while I'm away.
See you all when I get back. I may even have some points to claim by then, who knows?!

message 1025: by Amanda B. (new)

Amanda B. | 112 comments I read Romeo and Juliet this weekend. I always knew the story but never read the whole thing before, so I lacked details. After getting past the dialect I really did get into the story and enjoyed it. Hopeing that the fatal end that everyone knows would somehow end another way! Saturday I had to finish Shoeless Joe before going to the library and now I'm trying to finish Tess of D'Uberville. Then onto a 30 point task because I'm tired of getting measly 5 points each time I post! LOL :)

I've now started Island of the Sequined Love Nun and am listening to The Golden Mean, which I'm really enjoying but wish I knew more about Aristotle and Alexander The Great.
