What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I don't know where to post this question, except HERE.

I HAVE a name...but not sure it is right, and even if it is, it is still a mystery:

Charles Stross has written a LOT of material. Mostly Sci-Fi / Fantasy, but not all.
The ISFDB.ORG database has a very detailed listing of most of his work.

Wikipedia lists a lot of his work.

The INTERNET lists several places where you can D/L a piece about 28K words, named "Different Flesh". Please do NOT confuse with A.E. van Vogt's "A Different Flesh" or Turtledove's "A Different Flesh"....neither is the same work.

I can not find any information about when it was written or published, but it feels like Stross's work, and definitely exists.

Anyone know anything more about it?

Maybe post this in the "just to chat" section, since you already know the name and the author of the book; you're just looking for how to find it.

Have you tried contacting him directly and asking? Charlie Stross is a Goodreads author and there's a lot of contact information for him.
