Plch | 81 comments It appears that several books by both Italian writers Italo Calvino and Dino Buzzati have been translated into Farsi. I'd like to be able to combine the Farsi editions with the original ones and the other translations but very often I'm unable to understand whose books those are translations, even with the help of google. The only volunteer of Farsi has set her profile private so I am now asking anyone and everyone for their help, thank you!

Plch | 81 comments thank you very much!
Here they are some books by Italo Calvino and Dino Buzzati I'm having difficulties identifying, could you be so kind and translate the title from Farsi to English? Thank you!

Moreover... the whole of Buzzati's biography is written in Farsi! I could write another one in English but it seems unfair toward the original contributor, do you have any time to translate the whole thing? If you don't, I understant :)

Thank you again!

Novin | 37 comments Yeah, of course I would do that.I don't have time right now, but I will probably do it tomorrow. There is just one problem. some of these books are some short stories selected by the translator, and so there is no edition in another language.

I try to put a librarian's note (the one at the top of the edit page) on books like that. Then the next librarian knows not to spend time looking for an edition for combining!

Novin | 37 comments Dear Plch,
I put librarian notes on some of them. All as I said before were selections of short storie, with no other editions.
I didn't put notes on those which were combined, and the ones I couldn't find the original titles.
Here are the books without a note:
1)http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22...
It is a translation of "The crow comes last".Combined with other editions, and I think it is correctly combined(though I'm not sure).

2)http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62...
I couldn't find any story or book by calvino that would match the name. It is something like Trade in Construction, or business in construction...

3)http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64... I couldn't find this one either. The title's translation is something like: "Who implanted mines in the sea?"

4)http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15... another book or story that I couldn't find. It must be the great portrait, or the great picture, or the big picture, or some like these.

Valeria (valdej) | 8 comments I can help with number 2), I think: Calvino has a book called "Speculazione edilizia" (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...) which means "real estate speculation" -- I'm guessing "construction business" isn't too far off, if you factor in the translation?

As for 3) and 4), I can't think of what they could be. I'm sure 3) is a short story, though.
