Scoring:

🧛🏻‍♂️ If the book is 400 or more pages +5 points
🧛🏻‍♂️ If the book has a number in the title +5 points
🧛🏻‍♂️ When you finish a round (#1-9), you receive a bonus 10 points.
🧛🏻‍♂️ You can move on to the next round prior to finishing the round you are working on, however you will not receive your bonus points until a round is completed.

Hi everyone, I started this page so we could start talking

Thanks for setting up the thread Tasha. We're at a disadvantage, starting at the last minute with no opportunity for pre-planning. I hope someone's good at organization! Do we have anyone who wants to be captain? I don't think I'd be good at it (ok, I know I wouldn't) . And I'm not a spreadsheet person. My only contributions will be reading and chatting. :)

I don't think this toppler required a lot of pre-planning. Hopefully you started gophering as soon as you indicated you wanted to join the toppler. That way, all you have to do is slot them in. Actually, I would recommend that you fill in the numbers as people complete books rather than pre-assign them.

Wow, you guys are doing good. I spent a major part of the day spring cleaning my room for an upcoming festival. Sigh.

I didnt read much today, I was visiting friends to celebrate a birthday. Am on the overnight ferry tomorrow then travelling all day Tuesday, so should have my nose in a book for a good while then.

I reported my third book. While out running errands earlier I got a bottle of port so I can do a little tippling while topplering this evening.

I've finished my second book. Got a whisky from the ship's bar as a reward.

I wish I had thought of it earlier but I downloaded two audible books for the toppler. The Fifth Season and that I can listen on break and to and from work. Two more midnight shifts left then I will be able to read more

I have a couple books read. Just haven't had time to report. Doing that now.

Reported books four and five. I'm 70% through another book, but I keep setting it aside. Since I've made it this far I'll probably read it in bits and finish it.

Reported books six through nine. Hopefully I'll get one more read.

I reported my last book. I ended up staying up all night reading, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to crash for most of the day. :)

Well done toppler team! We all seemed to be quietly reading away this week to get a good result. I think we did really well, despite setting off at a bit of a disadvantage with a reduced 5-legged team.

I managed to read 4 this week (fit in around travelling and visiting) which I'm pretty happy about.

Wow, everyone did such a great job. I couldn't finish my third book. House hunting and a major festival coming up didn't help.
