I'm having a hard time thinking of books for number 3... I can only think of:
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
Wings by Aprilynne Pike
Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston
All three of which I have already read. Does anybody know of any others?
Otherwise, Carolien, can I read a book that's part of either of those two series? It obviously just won't be the book in which she discovers she is a fairy.

Let's see if anybody has any ideas, otherwise that may be an option. My copy is out on loan, but it may be worth checking The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. I can't remember if she actually becomes a fairy in the process.
Check out The Faerie Guardian btw since you seem to be a fairy expert! Won't count for the task, but a nice series.
Thanks Carolien, that's been on my radar for a while, maybe I should check it out.
Anyways, found one I haven't read yet!
The Faerie Path by Allan Freewin Jones
But I would still love some other ideas from the rest of you if you know of any.
Or Fairy Tale by Cyn Balog (Carolien, would this one count? It's a guy who finds out he is a fairy. Or the girlfriend finds out her boyfriend is a fairy. The details are hazy on the blurb)

As long as somebody discovers they're a fairy it would count.

Alexia Purdy's Dark Faerietale series could be.
Though the protagonist is technically only half, and I don't think she's yet realised that(At least not in the first books). - [also this one appears to be either self-published or published by a small house - as it still has a couple of rough patches.]
Jenna Black's Faeriewalker Series (YA)
Nicole Peeler's Jane True Series
Sookie Stackhouse - True Blood (again only part fae)
Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers (YA)
