Supernatural Fiction Readers discussion

Dear all,

I am a newly published author and I have written a ghost novel that I hope will appeal to you. I have tried to write something fast paced as well as a bit different to others in this genre. Most ghost novels I have read seem to either rely on the usual formulaic story of people moving into their ideal house but it turns out to be anything but, due to it being haunted. Or they seem to rely on a sexual element. My book I believe tries to be a good story as well as different to what you may have already read. It is the story of a man who tragically dies and finds himself bound to the will of a mortal. This mortal man intends forcing our protagonist to act as an intermediary between him and other deceased spirits. All so that he can act as a spiritualist medium and become rich. Of course our protagonist has other ideas.

I have read your book and thought it was really good! Fast paced and with a great twist. It made me wonder if your view of the afterlife was what it would be really like - the way you describe it doesn't seem so far fetched!
I will make sure I treat the living better though - you never know what is waiting for you when you die!
