Robert Adauto (robert_adautoiii) | 2 comments Hi everyone,
I am looking for beta readers for a 60k steampunk adventure. This is the first in a planned series. Here's the blurb:

Sherlyn Coyle is a Constable in the capitol city of Theopolis. Her relentless passion for justice and sharp intellect leads her to join the ranks of Detective. Fang is a mysterious and deadly assassin whose relentless killing leads her to join the ranks of a normal life.
A series of events leads them both on the same path to stop a madman from destroying Theopolis with the fabled Book of Infinite Shadows.
One is a peacekeeper for justice. The other is a trained killer. Can they find the common thread that binds them together instead of fighting against each other? Or will the mysterious madman succeed and usher in a new dark world devoid of life?
Coyle and Fang: Book of Infinite Shadows is the first book of a series set in the world of Umberset where arcane power, steam technology and monstrous creatures reside.

Let me know if you're interested!

James (jzachmanjr) | 1 comments What’s your timeline for this? I have a few commitments for beta reading already lined up but would love to add it to the queue if you’re flexible.

Robert Adauto (robert_adautoiii) | 2 comments Hi James,

I'm sending this off to my editor on the 26th, so this timeline may not work with your schedule.
Thanks for asking and I'll keep this note when I'm ready for my next book.
Best

Lori Alden Holuta (lorialdenholuta) I'm also a steampunk author, and would be interested in beta-ing your novel! I have time to read it right now.

Inkslinger (the_inkslinger) | 7 comments I would recommend specifically keeping an eye out for repetitive phrasing, as something akin to 'leads to' occurs 3 times just in the first paragraph of the synopsis above and 'join the ranks' appears twice back to back as well. This is something I see a lot in developing writers.

Best of luck with your release!
