I really hope that Dani and Ryo really do have enough screen time. Hopefully the reason all the reviews talk about Mac so much is that they want to appease the Mac and Barrons fans into buying the books. And they don't want to spoil the good parts. *cough the Dani-Ryo parts cough*

I think the free passage is Mac talking or Dani but I think it is Mac the grey woman ask for free passage after the Dani incident in Shadowfever!!

I'm wondering when the grey lady will come back for that debt owed her.

I should finish re-reading book 4 tonight. It will only take me about a week to read Shadowfever and less than that to read Iced. I really need Burned to be released at least a week early so I can go straight from Iced to it! lol

KimeyDiann enjoy the re-read I finished Shadowfever today. I will start iced next week. I understand a lot better now! Some stuff R making more sense. There is this one thing that Is freaking me out. And it is the Fiona/ Dani comparison!! Fiona new what the nine was and she was aloud to know that thy can not die!!!! The same as Dani!!! My problem with this is the following.Not Mac or Jo is supposed to know that the nine can die ever? Mac found out by accident!! Ryodan is doing everything in his power to keep Jo in the Dark.He even tells Dani to not tell Jo about him not being Abel to die !!!! There is a scene in Shadowfever where Lor tells Mac that if Barron's tells her anything about them she will die. Mac replies by saying that Fiona was aloud to know why not her !! Lor replies with the following Fiona was a doormat !!!!!!! So what does this make Dani in there eyes? Is she Ryodan doormat??

No. She is not a doormat. She knows how to be discreet. Ryo already say that.

KMM said that she will give Dani the perfect HEA for her? I think Jo might be Ryodan permanent Ho ! KMM said peeps wanted Jo dead but it will not happen !

Inanda take a deep breath. Lol. KMM already confirmed to us that Jo and Ryodan can never be a permanent thing. She told us to trust her to deliver a satisfying love story like with Mac and Barrons. If anything, I still trust her on that.
I think dani is allowed to know and not jo because Jo does not have any reason to know and it would be a shame to kill her just for the sake of protecting their secret. The nine doesn't disclose their secret to just anyone. Ryo knows dani is dependable. Furthermore, like Mac to Barrons, dani is the one he plans to keep around in his circle. Sooner or later she'll know, so it doesn't matter that she knows now.

To me, there's not even room for doubt that Dani and Ryodan will end up together. Now we just have to sit back and see their story unfold :)

Did Fio really know what the nine are? I mean, all of the details about them? She obviously knows that Barrons does not age because I got the impression she had been with him for a very long time. But does it every actually say that she knows what they are and that they can never die? I know that she knows a LOT about Barrons, but I don't think she could have known everything and still been allowed to live, doormat or not. The Nine kill anyone who learns too much about them.

It probably also has to do with the fact that Dani seems somehow related to the nine anyway. With her similar powers and all. As well as the fact that they respect and like Dani. Whereas they never respected nor really liked Mac.

Yes Dani is not related to the nine I do think she has similar powers. But both Christian and Ryodan has insinuated that Dani have evolved, she is no mere human!

I think it will be good. I just have to stop reading the reviews of the book. Mac was a great character and I don't think KMM ever disappointed her fans (except from Mac fans when Iced came out). So I'm sure it will be good.

Now I'm wondering if it is Mac that will try to save Christan and not Dani, or maybe Dani and Mac will become friends again in search for Christian. Ryodan has messed up some with the Jo affair/fling/relationship so I hope he fixes things up in Burned, god I hope Jo turns out to have cooperated with Cruce all along. And she is the one manipulating Ryodan and not the other way around. That would really be fun to read. . And call me a romantic, but I hope that every one of the nine only have ONE mate in their lifetime, and as Kasteo lost his there can't be another for them. So Dani is Ryodan's mate and he is therefore overly possessive of her :)

Yeah, I think it will be good too. Winnie, I am a romantic too, but it just would seem too perfect to me if all the 9 got soulmates! I mean, it would be nice for them, but I just doubt that KMM would do that. It would be very JR Ward. :)

I am hoping for lots of shocking reveals about Dani (how she was involved in the death of her mother, and then did someone else say in this thread that it will come out that she was sexually abused as a child?)... that would be crazy if what Winnie said was true and Jo is using Ryodan... Mac's Mom is the founder of We Care... maybe Barrons and Ryodan will be pitted against each other? and Dancer betrays Dani big time.

I think they were playing around and teasing her. Not touching her. Maybe one of them tried and she went crazy and had to kill up him and momma dukes. That was one of my scenario for the mother dying. LOL.

It's possible the Observer killed her mother too. We never found out how she died, right?

In one of the Mac books I remember her telling Mac that a Fae killed her mum, do you think that was just a lie?

I didn't know that info until now. But it could've been a lie to protect dani or something, what with her being so young. However Rowena had not reason to hide it for it, since she made her kill at nine years old.

Yeah, it could have been a lie to save Dani from going psycho. But I got the impression that Dani was on some weird subconscious level aware of the stuff her 'observer' side had done.

It might have been easier to believe it because she didn't know for sure. Would you really want to say you killed your mom. Dani has a hard time accepting things like that.

Thought it initially. Now I think maybe the next book after Burned. I even thought he saw her in Observer mode before like when be was watching her when she was young. KMM says he knows things that we didn't know yet.

my guess is that Dani played a role in her mom's death while in observer mode. since her observer tells her survival is paramount. but the fae were probably involved as well.
yes I can imagine Dani going observer mode when she is older and Ryodan can't snap her out of it, so he kisses her out of it! it could be their first kiss and a huge shock to her but she could secretly love it and it would bring her back to herself.
