The Girl Who Drank the Moon can probably be considered a middle school read but I really enjoyed it. It was about a cursed land told from multiple points of views. The story plays around with the idea of how stories/legends change and spread as they are told from one person to the next. The POVs clash in a spectacular way at the end. Overall an enchanting tale I really enjoyed.

The Alice Network was recommended by a friend. I otherwise might have never picked it up. The story was captivating, taking place during an era I rarely read about, World War I. We follow two points of views- One of a female spy behind enemy lines in WWI and one of a young woman trying to find her cousin who went missing towards the end of WWII. It was so suspenseful and I had never read anything like it. Amazing story based on true events.

V is for Villain was perhaps not as amazing as the first two but it pulled me out of my reading slump. It's about a world where super heroes are the norm and kids that demonstrate abilities actually train from a young age to become supers. This is the second book that I've read that takes place in a super hero world and I enjoy the novelty of it.
