Once the reading challenge starts, you can come over here and share the first book you're reading! Maybe you'll find someone else reading the exact same one?

Have you finished a book? Tell us as well! Maybe even add some of your thoughts about the book. Did you enjoy it? Or didn't you?

What's going to be your next read?

Every small progress you make, you can share here! Even if you just want to talk about a huge event that just occurred and you need to shout about it for a bit.

NAT.orious reads ☾ (thevoiceofthewolf) | 37 commentsThe Twenty-Ninth Day - done: fantastic and picturesque autobiography that captivates the reader with its rich descriptions of the canadian landscape and a shockingly honest and frightning depiction of what a bear attack really means.

The Magick of Food: Rituals, Offerings & Why We Eat Together - done: magnificent in its simplicity it reminds us of the spirituality and sacristy of preparing, eating and sharing food.

Twenty Boy Summer - done: although flawed, this novel still has tiny perfections that make it a lovely book that should be especially promising to younger readers.

The Last Huntsman - done: very original and captivating, this narrative is loosely inspired by the German original of Schneewittchen, but twisted in a different way.

One Week 'Til Christmas - done: A lovely little romance with a soft male hero (love me some soft men) that was just what I needed to get the festive season started.

Colombiano - done: brutally truthful and heartbreaking story that follows a young colombian autodefensa who is set to avenge his father who was executed by the guerrilla

Your Brain, Explained: What Neuroscience Reveals About Your Brain and its Quirks - done: everything I look for in a science book can be found in this mind-blowing assortment of peculiarities. our brain truly is a wonder and a riddle.

Susy (susysstories) Updated my original post:

finished The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes but I'm still way behind. I was supposed to have finished The Adventures PLUS read 3 chapters from Jong Verlies PLUS made good progress in War Storm. Though I felt I was almost constantly reading I made hardly any progress at all. It's just like October: I feel like I did read quite a bit but I only finished 2 books (and not very long ones at that). How in the world is that possible??
(sorry for the ranting)

message 4: by A Robin Reads (new)

A Robin Reads (arobinreads) I read Gregor the overlander (Underland chronicles #1) by Suzanne Collins. This book was on my 2016 (yes I know, wow) TBR. I tried to read it, but couldn't really get into it at the time. So now I tried it again and really loved it! It's really underappreciated, whilst The hunger games is so populair. Really recommend!

Krystal (krystallee6363) So here's where I stand at present:

The Historian - 360 pages in. It's an intriguing story but long and meandering so I've paused for a bit so I can read some stuff I've been itching to get to.

Outlander - 104 pages in. This is my 'before bed' read and I've been so wiped lately that it's been neglected. It's also HUGE so I can see this taking a while.

Crazy Rich Asians - FINISHED! Read my review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Salvation Lost - TBR
Wearing Paper Dresses TBR

Snake Island - Read the first chapter last night. Hasn't grabbed me yet but to be fair I'm less than 20 pages in. XD

Five Dark Fates - Started yesterday and already loving! This is such a fantastic, dark series!

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon Crazy Rich Asians (Crazy Rich Asians, #1) by Kevin Kwan Salvation Lost Salvation Sequence Book 2 by Peter F. Hamilton Wearing Paper Dresses by Anne Brinsden Snake Island by Ben Hobson Five Dark Fates (Three Dark Crowns, #4) by Kendare Blake

Susy (susysstories) Updated my original post:

Finished The Titan's Curse and started on The Girl With All the Gifts which I hope to finish this week, though it will be very busy with work and appointments so will see how far I'll get.
Today I'll be reading for work: kinderen in spagaat

Krystal (krystallee6363) The Historian - Re-started from pg 360. The tiny writing and meandering, choppy story really do make it tough going, even though the story is interesting.

Outlander - Haven't gone beyond 104 pages.

Crazy Rich Asians - FINISHED! Read my review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Salvation Lost - TBR

Wearing Paper Dresses- Just started, and hoping to get through it nice and fast!
