Laura & Frances, I still hope to read Middlemarch. A buddy read would be good, I’d like to join you.

@Kaiser would you be interested in joining us? @Laura? @Nancy? @Andy? Any one else interested in a long Russian Read?
*I know @Phrodrick will pass on this one.

Thanks for asking but I don't think I'll manage Anna K in Dec. I read it years ago and need to focu on finishing Brothers Karamazov before the end of the year!
Anna Karenina in December is fine with me. Depending on how things are going, I might join Middlemarch in April.

Hope you can join us even towards the end of the book, @Kaisser and @Laura, as it is a 2-month read.
Update: Thread set-up already. We can just chat there. Apologies to other members for monopolizing this thread.

Steve! Sorry, I've been working crazy retail hours to get ready for the hols. I own both of those so whichever you would like!

@andy -- I get it, I'm a freelancer, so my hours can be sporadic too. I picked up Flowers for Algernon yesterday but haven't started, so let's do that first. Afterward we can do some Wheel of Time.
I'm new to this, how and how often would you like to check in?

Flowers For Algernon
I wouldn't read any of the posts until we finish though. Or we could just message since its just the two of us.
I'm reading it on my kindle and it doesn't have a table of contents so I'm not sure how we should break it up.

Messaging sounds easier. My version is broken into 17 progress reports, but the first 10 are each short (like 70 pages total). Maybe whoever finishes can contact the other sometime in the next few days/week.

also for Middlemarch in April - I'm not sure can we just set up threads or does a mod have to?

Ok cool thanks - I'll do it :)

I'd be down for A Man Called Ove! Would February be okay?

I'd love to do We Were Liars!

Maurice by E.M. Forster
The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
I was thinking March at the earliest, for either of them.

I'll join you for The Remains of the Day in March

(I'm not sure how this works though, do I open a thread now, or wait until March, or do the admins do it...?)

I think the admins do it.

Does anyone want to read Atlas Shrugged by Ayan Rand? It's a long book and I think I can finish it quicker with a partner.

How are you liking Anxious People? My room mate and I loved it!

Hi, Laura, I was thinking mid-March, but I'm pretty flexible.
