@France-Andrée, @Helene, The Master and Margarita is 402pp and Anna Karenina is 964pp. We can read MM in Dec (1 mo) or AK Dec-Jan (2 mos). If we choose AK, we can finish in time for Gone with the Wind -1037pp which starts in Feb (til Mar?)

I think I would prefer Anna K, for me it's a reread so I'll listen to it and it's a lighter fare than The Brothers Karamazov that we just finished.

Thanks for asking but I don't think I'll manage Anna K in Dec. I read it years ago and need to focu on finishing Brothers Karamazov before the end of the year!

Anna Karenina in December is fine with me. Depending on how things are going, I might join Middlemarch in April.

@andy -- I get it, I'm a freelancer, so my hours can be sporadic too. I picked up Flowers for Algernon yesterday but haven't started, so let's do that first. Afterward we can do some Wheel of Time.

Messaging sounds easier. My version is broken into 17 progress reports, but the first 10 are each short (like 70 pages total). Maybe whoever finishes can contact the other sometime in the next few days/week.

I'd join for Darker Shade of Magic. I have it on my shelf. I'm still clawing my way out of serious reading slump (Sorry Steve, still working on Flowers, but now that the hols are over I should be able to fly through it).

Also, A Man Called Ove is soooo good! I highly recommend the Audio book for it as well! (All of Backman's work is exceptional)

Does anyone want to read Atlas Shrugged by Ayan Rand? It's a long book and I think I can finish it quicker with a partner.

You are the first person who has dared to say I'll reread it. I'm almost done with reading Anxious People. When do you want to read it?

I'm currently going through Count of Monte Christo and I'm a little behind in other readings so not right away. I love this book. My first read through I listened to the audio book read by Scott Brick and it was superb. I recently got a physical copy too and am looking forward to annotating it!

How are you liking Anxious People? My room mate and I loved it!
