Meet the members of the Martendale squad. Cacia, a haunted girl who’s troubled past lead her to a career in law inforcement tracking down the supernatural world’s deadliest fugitives. Her older brother Jerico, a quiet, intense brutal warrior prince who escaped the violence of the gladiatorial games and who’s tactical skills are matched only by the love and protectiveness for the younger sister who freed him from that dark place. Declan, Leland, and Rylan, Ferrell brothers who love the thrill of the hunt more than their favorite food, pizza, which to this day is still a wonder to them. Sloan, a kid born and raised on the streets who fought Cacia over a sandwich. The girls have been best friends ever since. Side note, no one knows what happened to the sandwich. Lanie, don’t let her shy nature fool you, she’d walk on water for her friends and no one in Arraisia can match her skill with blade and magic. Accept for maybe Cacia. And last but not least, Josie and Lizzie. One of the twins is calm and reasonable. The other has an entirely different disposition and is prone to violence given the fact that she and her sister have quite the score to settle with our story’s antagonist. Along with the agency they serve and their slightly off kilter friends, they are Arraisia’s first line of defense and this disfunctional but beloved team of heros is about to enter into quite the predicament. Let me explain. Six years ago, before they became to be known as the Martendale squad, Cacia and her brother put Cacia’s so called best friend behind bars for the crime of treason. Tonight is the anniversary of her capture, and the King has just been notified that five of his guards were found gravely injured and only one prisoner is missing from their cell. So what does his majesty do? He notifies the ADC. And the defense core sends out their best, setting in motion what’s going to be one of the wildest hunts of their lives. Cacia wants answers and a bit of peace and quiet. Her team is eager to put their combined skills to use and prove that this team of misfits has once and for all earned their title as the ADC’s best. But everyone in Arraisia has secrets, and some are deadlier than others. Now they are in a race against time to put a mistery to rest and stop the return of a deadly villainess who may want more than just vengeance. Is falling in love even possible at a time like this? Will we ever find out what happened to that sandwitch? And who really committed treason that night, or was their even a crime to begin with?

I am all for creating a plot with you but these are just the ideas I had. The year is 2053 and most mythical beings have come out of hiding, forming a country of their own. Relations with other countries are good, for the most part, but when it comes to fugitives too strong for the normal police forces to catch, they call the Arraisian defense core. Cacia was born and raised fighting these criminals because her parents founded the Core. She has at least 23 brothers and sisters all working in places of power but she is closest with Jerico because this was one of her first cases, helping him win his freedom. Their first case together, and perhaps the one that marked them most definitely as their parents children and future Defense Core officers was when her X best friend disappeared one night before showing up three months later hidden in a basement with two newly created, and very dangerous, vampires. The three went on the run and it turned out one of the newborn vampires was the King’s eldest son.. Cacia and Jerico had only one job when the case was given to them, return the lost prince home safely and arrest and convict those charged with his transformation. The case ended in a rather intense stand off in which one of the vampires was killed, the other vanished into the night and her friend was arrested for treason because she refused to share any information about what really happened while they were all missing and if there were others involved. Is there anything else you’d like to know? And I’m all for brainstorming. :)

What's the Core? I'm totally into making a cool and action packed narrative.

What character would you prefer me to play or do I just create my own? Cuz I'm good with either. Or both if we play multiple characters.

Also, if there is romance, what pairings are you okay with? I have a specialty in MxM, but can do any pairing if romance does become a plot element at some point.

I’m totally fine with you creating your own character. I also feel like having multiple characters would make this story more interesting. And romance is also acceptable. Please tell me I’m not the only one who loves hero and villain forbidden romance? Not that it has to happen right away, they can definitely start out as rivals if you like. I’m playing Cacia and the rest of her team so feel free to add plot elements and characters whenever you want. And sorry for getting back to you so late, my puppy decided he was going to get my attention by chewing on my charger.

Sounds good to me. That's also my favorite romance trope! I'm also a total fan of background characters getting to fall in love as well. Showing that the world is rounded and it's not just the main character.

Rivals would probably work at first. Though, how would we make it so these people interact on a normal basis if they are not part of the same team?

Also, what races are allowed in this? (Race meaning human, elf, orc, etc.)

Me too. I love the idea of background characters falling in love. And any race is aloud in this as one of the ADC’s dispatchers and Jerico’s boyfriend is an elf prince named Jayden. As for having them interact with each other, I’m not sure. Do you want to just kind of see what happens?

Sure. Also, what pairings are you okay with? I tend to enjoy MxM quite a bit but can do any pairing. When we make little bio sheets, should we put sexuality down as well? Just so we can keep everyone in mind?

That’s a good idea, just so we don’t get everyone confused. And MXM and FXF are what I was thinking of. I would love for Cacia to find someone but there is no harm in Jerico or one of the other boys finding someone to be with too. Let us hope our poor characters can survive the hilarity and dangerous situations that are going to ensue.

Ohhh yeah. And honestly, I was kinda thinking of a woman for Cacia. Two strong women sound really neat.

If we use this topic for our roleplay, should we start designing characters to post them so we have a little list of them? Or do you wanna start a new topic for this all so they can all be at the top with all of the info and characters?

Yeah, that'd be fine. I'm gonna go off of yours first so I get some more ideas and some more inspiration. :) Also, we should change the topic name to something to differentiate it from the other request topic.
