Chapter 9: (view spoiler)[Together again! 😁 Now that Horace and Will are properly reunited it’s time to start on some strategies to get the castle back from Keren and to free Alyss! And with Alyss now having a focal point for when she’s being hypnotised they might actually be able to talk to her about some of the plans without word getting out! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15. (view spoiler)[Honestly Keren, listen to Alyss! I know it seems like you’ve passed the point of no return but you can still make amends dammit! And even if you were named traitor and sentenced to death surely that would be better than letting another nation invade and potentially causing the death of thousands? You’re going to start a war at the rate you’re going and somehow I doubt you’re as mad as Morgarath was. Do you really want to end up being compared to him? :/

Chapter 29. (view spoiler)[Everything is set and now it’s finally time to storm the castle! So far everything seems to be going according to plan... and hopefully it’ll stay that way!

I really love the idea of the ladder as a feint-but-not-really and love how they’re getting around the issue of not having 3-4x the men that Macindaw has ;D (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 34: (view spoiler)[Poor Trobar 😭 He tried so hard to avenge his best friend but just didn’t have the skill to back it up and take out Buttle. Luckily Horace (and Gundar) were around to finish the guy off!

I do love Gundar though - after sending his axe flying to take out Buttle and then having Buttle (along with the axe) fall into the castle courtyard the only thing he’s worried about is whether his axe is still fine. Typical Skandian 😂 (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 37: (view spoiler)[Well that was a horrible way to go, holy crap o.o Acid to the face followed by a fall from the tower. I know Keren was a bad guy but SHIT he didn’t deserve that! (hide spoiler)]

Finished! (view spoiler)[And good on Horace for getting in the middle of things and thus enabling Alyss to reveal her feelings for Will. Even if it was through a letter.

Ch 12 (view spoiler)[ aw they finally spoke about Evanlynn/Cassandra. There's definitely some weirdness with Will and Horace now. Is it jealousy?

ch 23 (view spoiler)[ WOW Okay that was actually a really cool scene with Malcolm/Malkallam. I love that he explained exactly how everything was done.

Here's hoping that Horace and Will can figure out how to get all this done with just a day shy of THREE WEEKS (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[ wow after Keren went down everything went really smoothly for them. Sad to see the dog go but I like how Will said she belongs with who named her

They hinted at Cassandra and Horace possibly being a couple and now Alyss and Will have told each other they love the other.

And Halt hinted at some type of false prophet with followers? Is a cult the next book? (hide spoiler)]
