Oooh, good choice. A very good book.
I would have seconded it if I hadn't been too slow. I'll have to have a think of another nomination.
I'll nominate Diary of a Nobody by George and Weedon Grossmith. People keep saying it's very funny and we need some humour in these dark times!

I'll second The Tenant of Wildfell Hall.
