Janet | 49 comments I highly recommend Boat People. I read this last year for a different prompt. Really interesting with different points of view. A good topic for today.

Delia (dc1984) After going through the covers of the books I've read so far this year, I saw that Bitch Planet: Triple Feature, Vol. 1 fits the bill so that's what I'm using for this prompt.

Stephanie Ballard | 12 comments The Mountains WildJust finished The Mountains Wild (Maggie D'arcy, #1) by Sarah Stewart Taylor . I used it for this challenge. Enjoyed the story.

Cornerofmadness | 807 comments I read Ghostwriter by Lissa Bryan by Lissa Bryan but it was a bit too Gothic romance for me

Liz Fothergill | 48 comments Halfway through AFTERLAND by Lauren Beukes. Has an upside down flower on the cover and is also pink. For fans of dystopian lit. In short, a virus has killed most of the world’s male population and the government is “ protecting” all male survivors. Cole is on the run with her twelve year old son, being pursued not only by the government, but by her sister and a badass group of black market semen searchers.

Kristin (trickpony1820) | 68 comments Celine by Peter Heller was recommended by a friend and will likely be my choice since it seems to be the only upside down image on my 'To Read' list and they have it at my library.

Liz Fothergill | 48 comments Just finished AFTERLAND. If you’re a fan of dystopia or want to read about a highly contagious virus that kills off Alitalia the men in the world, I recommend this one. It has an upside down flower on the cover.

Tamara Evans (bamalibrarylady) I read "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie" by Alan Bradley.

message 116: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 25 comments I just finished The Boat People and I really enjoyed it. I was not aware of the Sri Lankan refugees that hit Canada. I loved the parallel story between the main character and the adjudicator on the case

message 117: by Virginia (last edited Dec 31, 2020 12:01PM) (new)

Virginia (dogdaysinaz) | 52 comments I read Simon the Fiddler for this prompt.
Simon the Fiddler by Paulette Jiles

I also read Drive which has a small upside down image. (I found it when I was looking for books with only words on the cover, but it has that tiny upside down man!)
Drive The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us by Daniel H. Pink

ETA 12/31/2020: I'm using Simon the Fiddler for my Western so I'm using Drive as my upside down image. :)
