THE Group for Authors! discussion

Is there a way for an author to notify all followers at one time when she has a new release, rather than messaging individually (which of course if frowned upon)? The best I can figure is for her to encourage followers to sign up to be e-mailed when there's a blog update. As a Goodreads user, I don't seem to be getting e-mails even when I check the box to get them for blog updates, so not sure that's the best option either.

You could post a general status update (to all friends) or a blog post (to all followers). I don't think there's a way to send e-mail notifications, however.

Oh Im not getting much from the blog though. How do you post general status btw?

Go to the GR home page, on the right, scroll down to your "Currently Reading" section. There's a link to update the status of your "currently reading" books, but also one for "general update".

Oohhh, I didn't know this, either! I've been using the blog to keep readers updated. Thanks Ken.
