Robert (robertdownsbooks) | 2 comments First, I'd like to thank the First Readers (Beta Readers) Group for giving writers the opportunity to post here and hook up with early/beta readers.

What am I looking for? I know readers bring different strengths to the table, and I'd like to capitalize on some of your individual strengths. Since it's a mystery, I'm concerned about plot, but I'd also like any thoughts you may have on consistency, characterization, dialogue, and any scene or section where you feel like additional work is needed, i.e. you are pulled out of the story.

Timeframe? I'd like to aim for six weeks from time of your receipt.

Number of readers? Two or three, preferably (if possible).

Genre? Hard-Boiled Mystery set in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Format? I can provide either Word or PDF, depending on preference.

One-liner: Casey Holden is a playboy PI with a penchant for 2005 Dodge Vipers, monogamous relationships with multiple women, all-knowing bartenders, and pessimistic best friends. His latest cases involve a TV personality and a rocker.

Note: This is sort of a package deal. The two manuscripts are the fourth and fifth in my ongoing hard-boiled Immortality series. But as an added bonus, if you are willing to give me feedback on these two novels, I'll give you the first two in the series in Mobi, ePub, or PDF (with no strings attached) as a personal thank you.

If you're interested, please post here, or send me a message with your email and preferred format.
