FAC: Kristen Proby and Tara Sivec (December 2019)

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.
During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.
Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists.
She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle series, which begins with Come Away with Me and the Boudreaux series, with Easy Love being the first in that series.
Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.

She writes in a wide range of genres including Romantic Comedy, Romantic Comedy/Mystery, Romantic Suspense, New Adult Drama, Contemporary Romance and Psychological Thriller.
Her novel Seduction and Snacks won first place in the Indie Romance Convention Reader's Choice Awards 2013 for Best Indie First Book and she was voted Best Indie Author in the Indie Romance Convention Reader's Choice Awards 2014.
In her spare time, Tara loves to dream about all of the baking she'll do and naps she'll take when she ever gets spare time,
Tara's latest release is Just My Type. She also has a new one releasing on December 9th.....Heidi's Guide to Four Letter Words.

Challenge Duration: The whole month of December.
To sign up:
Post your interest and the book(s) you are planning to read.
For each author, you must also signify if you are:
A - I'm a big fan! I'm excited to read another of her books.
B - Familiar with her work, and wouldn't mind reading her again.
C - Totally new to this author. Will see how I like it.
D - Didn't like the last one I've read, but willing to give it another chance.
To complete:
Post the date when you've completed your book(s).
You must also say if, after reading:
A - would definitely look at her other books, since I've enjoyed this one very much.
B - could take it or leave it. Was not an unpleasant experience but I'm not burning rubber to get to her other books.
C - Oh well, I tried. Definitely not my cup of tea.
A little review of the book read is welcomed but not required.

I am a D for Kristen Proby, didn't like the one I read but heard they get better. So I will read Under the Mistletoe with Me because it is a holiday story. 😊
I am an A for Tara Sivec and I'm finally going to read, listen to really, Heidi's Guide to Four Letter Words next month!

I'm a B for Tara Sivec and I've just started the Shame on You audio.
Also a B/D for Kristen Proby - I've only read one from her (the Dark Nights novella and found it meh) but I'm willing to read more so I'll check out her others and see what might interest me.

I'm a C for both, Kristen Proby's books are on audio at my library so I might try Listen to Me or Loving Cara
I own Tara Sivec's At the Stroke of Midnight and I want to try to get to that.

So, I started a D for this author, and I finish a C based on this series. I've heard she has another series that is a lot better, so I would be willing to try another if the situation arose.

I started an A for this author and finish an A!

I didn't really like the book, the characters were immature, the storyline lacking and so many ridiculous things all thrown in together. It tried too hard.
I think I'll give Tara Sivec a miss in the future.
