Fran | 12278 comments Queen of Romance- Kristen Proby

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.

During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists.

She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle series, which begins with Come Away with Me and the Boudreaux series, with Easy Love being the first in that series.

Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.

I'm a B for Tara Sivec and I've just started the Shame on You audio.

Also a B/D for Kristen Proby - I've only read one from her (the Dark Nights novella and found it meh) but I'm willing to read more so I'll check out her others and see what might interest me.

cole ♥ clearlyreading (clearlyreading) | 94 comments I'm maybe in if I can fit in another book lol, maybe I'll update in January but I'm gonna try.

I'm a C for both, Kristen Proby's books are on audio at my library so I might try Listen to Me or Loving Cara

I own Tara Sivec's At the Stroke of Midnight and I want to try to get to that.

MountainKat | 31599 comments I've finished my book by Kristen Proby, Under the Mistletoe with Me, earlier in the month. It was better than the last one, but still a little frustrating for me as well as predictable. This was supposedly about a couple married 10 years, that tried for several years to have a baby, but the heroine acted very childish on several occasions. This was my primary complaint with the first book in the series. The writing still felt like it was written by a teenager playacting at adulthood - but not as bad.

So, I started a D for this author, and I finish a C based on this series. I've heard she has another series that is a lot better, so I would be willing to try another if the situation arose.

MountainKat | 31599 comments I also finished my book by Tara Sivec this week. I read Heidi's Guide to Four Letter Words by Tara Sivec and Andi Arndt, also wonderfully narrated by Andi Arndt. I loved it! It was hilarious and outlandish!

I started an A for this author and finish an A!

Loz | 64 comments Just finished my Tara Sivec audiobook, Shame on You. Started as a B. Finished as a B-.
I didn't really like the book, the characters were immature, the storyline lacking and so many ridiculous things all thrown in together. It tried too hard.
I think I'll give Tara Sivec a miss in the future.

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2244 comments I finished Love and Lists (Chocoholics, #1) by Tara Sivec and gave it 3 stars. I started out as an A because I loved Seduction and Snacks, but this one was not as good. It just wasn't as funny...
