Maggie (maggietoussaint) | 4 comments Hi Science Fiction Fans, I'm desperately seeking readers to nominate Book 1 of my new science fiction series for publication on Kindle Scout.

Here are some features: a brilliant scientist, a libido-charged robot, a secret society, double crosses, global food and water shortages... All of this in G-1.

The first 50 pages are posted at the Kindle Scout site. Check it out. Books with enough nominations are selected for publication - and the readers who nominate those titles get the Advance Review Copy FREE. https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/5YHX...

Thank you,

Maggie Toussaint writing as Rigel Carson

Matteo Dedonno | 6 comments The same to you, Maggie!
But I was kidding, I actually stopped seeking readers. Nobody wants to read my work, not even friends and not even for free. It's amazing. I guess they have some magic faculty and already know it's boring without even try to read it.
Marketing! Marketing! Marketing! Awesome and powerful God of Marketing, who sees everything and knows everything, bless us all in your infinite mercy.

Maggie (maggietoussaint) | 4 comments I feel your pain, Matteo. Marketing is a lot of work and not nearly as fun as writing. I've spent the morning trying to garner nominations for G-1, and my efforts paid off as it surged into the Hot and Trending group - for today at least.

At some point, most authors hope they won't have to do promotion, but I have to say that's not true. It's part of the game from indie writers all the way to those with Big Time Publishers.

I've been writing for publication for 20 years, so I am confident in what I'm putting out there, story-wise. The challenge is in connecting with readers of my new genre, science fiction. I came to this Kindle Scout campaign with mystery and romance fans. Thankfully, some of them are willing to follow me down another hallway.
