Hi, I'm new to the group and have a query straight away.
Another site claims Adrian McKinty has a new Sean Duffy book released, #7, The Detective Up Late.
News of the book here on Goodreads is somewhat confusing and I was hoping a member here would have more information on a release date.

Hi there -- welcome!

I did a wee bit of checking for you. I can't find that it's actually been published in English yet, and I went to several places to look for a release date and found none (including the author's blog). Some people have evidently received early copies but sadly, nowhere does it say when it's going to be out.

Sorry to be the bearer of "I don't know..." but I did check.

I contacted McKinty’s website and a received an immediate reply that the book will be released late 2020 and there’s two more in the pipeline.

I have read it and it's very good. The author sent me a pdf of it as I have been a long time fan. I even did a McKinty tour when I was in N. Ireland. A friend from GR is also from Carrickfergus and he showed me Duffy's house and police station etc. We even went to McKinty's sister's pub and spent time visiting with his brother-in-law. So McKinty and I struck on a conversation. A year ago, he was going to quit writing, lost his publisher and was evicted. Now thanks to The Chain things have turned around. I am so happy for him. He's a great guy and lives in New Zealand now.

I love the Sean Duffy series and also the Michael Forsythe trilogy.
Currently re-reading James Lee Burkes Billy Bob Holland Series then going to start Hidden river by McKinty.

Edit. I thought he was living in Melbourne, Australia?

Pretty sure that it's New Zealand but I am old and gray so could be wrong.
