1 question from 12 different cards for badge 1
1 question from each of 18 remaining cards for badge 2
5 complete cards for badge 3

Report each book as follows:

1. Challenge Progress: Identify where you are in the challenge – Badge 1, book 1 (2, 3, 4, etc.)

That's a good approach. I'm going to focus on the 1st two badges as well.

I'm sorry you feel disheartened. Maybe ask for recommendations in the thread set up for the card(s) in question.

Searching for character names is probably the most difficult of the gophering tasks. I usually depend on luck to happen, unless the name is in the title of the book. I think I need to find an Andy or Don character. I do not have any ideas at this time, but we may luck out. Claire is easy. I have been waiting two years to get to my next Outlander series book.

I'm trying to slot in books that I own or are available at the library. I'm just plugging in obvious ones and will deal with the others if I need to in order to fill a card. It will take me a few months to earn the first two badges anyway and I can worry about completing cards at a later date.

I did SRC for a couple of challenges, but started to burn out on the gophering.

This year I'm adding "notes" to each task on the spreadsheet so that when my mouse hovers over it, the task will be revealed. It saves on space, and I can quickly verify if the task being reported is correct. I'm almost ready to go live with it. It's just time consuming to set it up.

i have found this more difficult Anne but i have something for each of the first 2 badges so far. I really enjoyed The Death of Bees but Gingerbread was so confusing i might never get over it

What did you think of Mrs. Mike? I read that one a few years ago and it's HF set in my area. I had some issues with the historical inaccuracies in the book. Still, it was an interesting read.

I wasn't keen to be fair. I cant see myself reading any more in the series

No, one book in the series was enough for me as well. I think the fascination for me was that it was set in my area.
