Interesting coincidence . . .

A preview for a movie just came on TV and I thought to myself "huh, this looks a lot like The Turn of The Screw". At the end, it said the name was The Turning - ah ha! Turn . . . Turning . . . So I looked it up. And, it is a modern day retelling on The Turn of the Screw! Suddenly this book is everywhere!

Marlise (mawz76) | 40 comments Oh man, I just saw a bit of that preview the other day and didn't realize that's what it's based on. It has that kid from Stranger Things who also plays Boris in The Goldfinch!

Marlise (mawz76) | 40 comments Just saw The Turning and didn't like it much. And it's very rare for me not to at least like a movie, I'm not super picky I guess. But this adaptation was a very very loosely based one and I think they made a mess of it. The best acting was done by the woman who played Mrs. Grose.

Basically I could have done without seeing it. Has anyone else watched it?

I haven't seen it yet, but based on your assessment, I am not sure I will!
