Movie Adaptations where previously read the book:
- Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and movie by Greta Gerwig - incredibly good
- Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson and movie by Michael B. Jordan - Fantastic and moving
- Cuckoo's Calling and The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith - I wish the Silkworm was one episode longer, but good overall
- Can you keep a secret - even with the effort to bring the story into 2020, it still did not age well as an adaptation
- The Stranger by Harlan Coben series - really good adaptation!
- Career of Evil - not my favorite adaptation of the Cormoran Strike books. It felt rushed.
- Emma. (2020) - really enjoyed it!
- little fires everywhere - loved it!
- Becoming - loved it!
- Babysitters Club - loved the reboot!
- Stargirl - not the best adaptation but movie was enjoyable
- The Witches - good adaptation but I thought the ending was odd

In last year's poll to select the group's 2020 yearly theme, "Women of the World" ranked among the top three choices. This quarterly challenge acknowledges the popularity of that theme among our members.
This challenge encourages you to read books in any genre that are authored by women and set in different parts of the globe. The author need not be be a native of the country which is the book's primary setting. Alternative histories and futuristic settings qualify, but not imaginary countries/worlds.
You may choose to read multiple books in a single region or spread your books across different regions. Multiple books set in the same country are allowed; however, to promote cultural diversity, however, you may only count 2 books set in the country where you live. Feel free to read multiple books set in the same region but a different country from where you live.
If you are uncertain about the geographic affiliation of a particular country, please refer to the United Nations geoscheme
