She lifted her head and pecked his lips. "Thank you."


She smiled and watched the show.

He nodded and kissed he back. "You're welcome."

"Am I taking the kids and picking them up from school tomorrow?" He asked.

She smiled at him and kissed him again.

"I can." She said. "You've done it a few times already."

He moved one hand up to her cheek as they kissed.

He nodded. "Okay. Sounds like a plan."

She leaned into him, sitting up a little.

She nodded and kissed his cheek.

He put his other arm around her to hold her close.

He moved his hand over her side.

She climbed onto his lap, kissing him still.

She smiled and sighed softly.

He moved his hand from her hip to her back under her shirt.

"I overheard the conversation about Brandon and Jess." Peter said softly.

She stopped for a second, biting her lip.



"Hm?" She looked over at him.

He pulled his hand back when she pulled back. "You okay?"

"I heard you guys taking about how Brandon and Jess can't have kids as I was walking downstairs." He told her.

She nodded slowly. "Yeah. I'm okay." She said softly.

She frowned. "Oh...I forgot about that." She sighed.

"Good." He rubbed his thumb against her cheek.

He nodded. "They'll be okay."

"Can I ask you something?" She asked softly.

She nodded. "They could do surrogacy." She said. "Or other stuff."

"Anything." He muttered back, looking in her eyes.

"They don't have to have kids if they don't want." He said.

"If....if what happened at your party didn't happen, would you have even asked me out? I mean we knew each other but not very well." She said.

"Are you kidding? Jessica adores children. Don't you see the way she is with the twins?"

He thought about her question. "Eventually I probably would have. I wanted to get to know you more but I couldn't find you at the party."

"Yeah she is good." He sat up a little. "They deserve a family."

She nodded. "I just... I often think you just felt bad because it happened at your house so you came to my house that say to check up on me." She admitted.

"A big one." She sighed.

"After that night I though you wouldn't want anything to do with me do I keep my distance. I came by to see if you actually hated me and to see if you were okay. My feelings grew more after that." He took her hand in his.

"I hope something good happens to them." Peter fixed the covers.

"I didn't hate you." She assured. "You didn't do anything." She squeezed his hand.

She nodded. "Would you want more kids?" She asked him.

He nodded. "Then you said you wanted to break up and see someone else. That was a really low point."

"I would and Brandon does but he'll go along with what Jess wants." He said.

She immediately pulled away, moving off his lap. "I don't want to talk about that."


"I meant us." She said softly.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have brought that up." He looked away.

"Yes I would." He nodded.

She just nodded. "You know I'm sorry for that." She murmured, staring down at her lap.


She was quite for a moment. "I would to...but it's so hard on my health Peter." She sighed.

"You don't have to apologize. You had good reason. You did nothing wrong." He told her.

"Not now though. I want the twins to grow up. Who know, maybe I'll change my mind." He looked over at her.

"A good reason?" She looked at him incredulously. "I dumped you to date my rapist." She said angrily. "It was the stupidest thing I've ever done and will carry that with me for the rest of my life."

She sat up. "Babe, I'm not against more children. I'm just on too many medication to be pregnant again." She said. "I also feel like our family feels complete, you know?"

He looked over at her. "You broke up with me because we weren't working and you found someone else that you thought cared about you. You didn't know who he was. I forgave you when you broke with me, I forgave you when you wanted to get back together and I forgive you now. You should also forgive yourself. It wasn't your fault."

"I know. I love our family and if it's complete to you then it's complete to me." He smiled at her.

She continued to stare down at her lap. Tears gathered in her eyes. "I should have known it was him." She sniffled.


She smiled and nodded. "Maybe we can get a dog." She suggested.

He slowly took her hand. "How? How could you have recognized someone you didn't have any memory of?"

"The kids would love that." He agreed.

She wiped at her eyes with her free hand. "I don't know; natural instinct?" She shrugged.


"Maybe for Christmas so we have time to find the perfect dog." She said

"The only person you should be blaming his him. He's the one who hurt you and thought he could do it again. You proved that he couldn't." He wiped the last tear. "You are strong and can rise above anything."

He nodded. "Yes we should. We should get one as a puppy."

She sighed deeply, nodding. "I know all of that stuff. I went to therapy for yet but I'm never going to actually forget it ever happened you know?"


She nodded. "I want to adopt one if we can though; much safer."

"Somethings you have to live with. They define who you are." He told her.

"I agree." The episode they were watching ended. "Go to sleep or watch another?"

She nodded. "I'm sorry." She wiped at her face. "I think I got it all out of my system for today." She rolled her shoulders.

She yawned. "Bed." She snuggled up to him, giving him all of her weight.

"I cry sometimes just to release pent up emotion. It's really good for relaxing the body." He told her.

He cuddle up with her and smiled. He had to enjoy this while he could.

She nodded. "I hate when you cry." She cuddles up to him again.


Caroline sighed softly. She stared into the dark, biting her lip.

He held her again. "Why?"

"I love you Caroline." He kissed her forehead.

"Because I always think of you as this strong person and to see you upset upsets me." She said. "It's for anyone really; no one likes to see the ones they love cry."

"I love you too Peter." She squeezed him, then giggled. "Remember when we did a Peter Pan and Wendy role play?"

"You can be strong and cry. There's nothing wrong with it. I do understand the other part though." He nodded.

He chuckled. "I bruised my leg when I fell off the bed trying to 'fly using happy thoughts'."

"You know what I mean." She said. "I think you're always strong; you help me stay strong." She pecked his lips.

She giggled, nodded. "Almost ruined the mood but you insisted on continuing."

He smiled and kissed her back lightly. "Let's be strong together." He put his forehead on hers.

"I couldn't leave you with Captain Hook and his pirates. Something could have happened. The rescue reward was worth it." He smiled.

She smiled a little and nodded, leaning against him.


She giggled, then hummed, shaking her hips. "It was wasn't it?"

He held her close.

He moved a hand to her hip then moved it to her ass. "What was your favorite role play we have done?"

"Is it okay if we don't have sex tonight?" She asked softly, but knew it was okay.

"Hm. That's a good question." She thought for a second. "Honestly, I've liked them all." She said honestly.

"I wasn't even expecting sex tonight. I just wanted to cuddle, eat ice cream, and watch TV." He told her.

"I think my favorite was the spy one." He said.

She nodded. "Okay. Just clarifying." She assured.

"When I was the spy or when you were?" She asked.

"Would you like to cuddle in bed or stay here?"
He asked her.

"When we were both spies but did it anyone because we lived each other." He told her.

"Here is fine. Unless you want to go your bed." She said.


"Wow; we came up with some interesting plots didn't we?" She laughed.

"We can stay here." He slowly laid down on the couch so she laid on top of him.

"Oh yes we did. Our weirdest was that dinosaur thing." He said.

She adjusted herself on top of him, nodding. "Oh I have to text my parents." She reached for her phone and sat up a little and texted her mom, saying she was studying the night.

"Oh god." She groaned. "Let's not talk about that ever." She giggled. She looked up when Violet moaned on the baby monitor.

He looked over at the movie which was almost over.

"I'll get the little raptor." He chuckled and got up. He walked down the hall to the twins room.
