BTW, Rachel and anyone else interested, I finally watched Little Women at the theater last Friday and was pleasantly entertained. I was worried it'd be boring but it's quite a nice little film. Little Women is nominated for Academy Awards, but not as many nominations as 1917 (10) and Joker (11).

Glad you enjoyed it. :D

Thanks for the update, Danell! :)
I’ve really got to read that.

Doing well. I've completed the Winter Reading Challenge and looking forward to Spring.
Movie Recommendation: Portrait of a Lady on Fire. This is a strong feminist period piece. Rich and multilayered.

Winter blues here. I've been reading a lot, escaping into my reading. I have quite a few to post that I've already finished. Hopefully I will get to it this week. Sun has come back to the PNW so hopefully I will get rid of this winter funk.

Thanks for recommendation. I love movies and books with these kind of themes.

Have you seen Knives Out? It looks like a fun film-hope to rent it soon.

I find the sunshine always helps me. Hope you feel better soon, Christine. xoxo

I will definitely participate in the spring challenge.
I'm game for a group read. How about something on the lighter side?

So glad to hear good things about the movie-I can’t wait to see it.
I think it would be fun to read something lighter for spring. We can read king and/or the hunger games in the summer if you guys are up for it. Do you have any suggestions for the spring group read?
Glad you’re joining me for the spring challenge. :)

I'll be happy to join in reading The Hunger Games Prequel, new Stephen King or probably anything other title y'all decide on :-) I'm going to read the two aforementioned books either way.
I'm right there with you with Winter feelings - It's common for a lot of people. Winter is always tough for me. I prefer the other 3 seasons immensely. Here in Colorado, we've had a lot of snow during the month of February after a very mild January that had no snow at all.

Hunger Games Prequel: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Will be released May 19th
New Stephen King: If It Bleeds
Will be released May 5th
Does the Spring Reading Challenge usually end Memorial Day Weekend at the end of May?
If so, we could feature the Stephen King book during May at the end of the Spring Challenge and the Hunger Games Prequel at the beginning of Summer Challenge.

We were thinking something lighter for spring- I was going to feature both the hunger games prequel and king’s new book in the summer. I’m reading both books too.
Any suggestions for lighter, fun books? I was thinking maybe Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened

The Spring Challenge ends the last day of May and as always I’m very happy you guys are still interested in doing them with me. :)

The Southern Book Club's Guide looks interesting. My library has the book on order, but I really need an audiobook - they don't currently have an audiobook for either in the library system.
If I can get an audiobook from the library, I'll read any book that is chosen. If there's not an audiobook available, I still might attempt it might attempt something like the Southern Book Club :-)

I finished my challenge. I'm not sure if I posted on here what I read for what:
Birthdays: The Body by Bill Bryson and Their Eyes were Watching God. Both great reads and I highly recommend them both.
Goodreads Award winner: Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I listened to this and if you are of a certain age (older), its great fun.
WWI: Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. A steampunk reimagining of the beginnings of WWI. Lots of action and imagination.
Library: The Library of the Unwritten by AJ Hackwith. A stinker, don't recommend this one.
IHOP: Riding the Elephant by Craig Ferguson. A fun memoir that will make you laugh out loud. I listened to it.
Oprah: The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates. A powerful book. Loved Coates use of language.
The book I did not finish but will, just ran out of time is The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. It was for the Groundhog Day book.
I got a lot of reading time in this winter.
