If you have any questions about the challenge - please write them here.

Q: Can we read each task more than once or is it once per task?
A: Every task is repeatable throughout the challenge :)

Q: Is there a spreadsheet for this challenge?
A: No, there isn't due to the all tasks being repeatable throughout the entire challenge :)

Caroline | 2102 comments I'm confused about the series tasks. e.g. "read a whole series start to finish". Would you post all the books towards that task, or find different tasks for all but the first? And when does losing points apply? If I read only one book from a series but count it towards a different task do I lose points? Or is it possible to actually "complete" that task reading a partial series by taking the penalty?

Hopefully those questions made sense, lol.

For the 'Read a whole series start to finish task', I will use an example.

So let's say you wanted to read Fae's Captive.

a) (For the example, it is a novella series) If you read the 1st to the 8th book within January, then you could post them all for that one task. You would not get penalized because you did read the entire series.

b) Let's say you read the first book but didn't like it enough to continue on - then you could post it under a different task and not get penalized.

c) If you read books 1-8 but you see that the author added a new book to the series (book 9) but it wont be published until March 2020 - then you wouldn't get penalized for not reading that book.

Or I can use a different series, let's go with Baby Mine (the roommate duet series).
Right now there are 6 books plus a novella on GR for this series. 2 of the six haven't been published yet but will be coming out in 2020.

So since this has 4 books already out but there's 6 in the total series (not counting the novella) then if you read the 4 in it and the other two have been published this month - then you wouldn't lose points either. You wouldn't even have to read the novella if you didn't want to.

Does that make sense or did I make it more confusing?

Jennifer | 3006 comments Off topic.....I just watched the new Star Wars movie and was anyone else thinking that Rey was going to score a fun RH there at the end?

That’s my question.

message 14: by OjoAusana (new)

OjoAusana does "read a new series for you" count series that only have one book published so far? the second book is already named but I don't see a pub. day for it yet on goodreads

Haven't seen it but then again I'm not a huge star wars fan.

Like audible originals? Or just audiobooks in general?

message 19: by Beth (new)

Beth White (betherly) | 225 comments Audiobooks in general really. For example I’m currently listening to “The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared” which is unabridged and 10hrs 59mins.

Well since that book page on GR has page counts, then we would go by the first page count - which is 396 pages. You can look here to see - https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

Ah that makes perfect sense. Just wanted to check that you were happy to accept audiobooks as "reading" to count as part of the challenge.

We most definitely do! If you ever listen to an audiobook that doesn't have a page amount on GR, Amazon, or any other website - please let us know and we will give you the correct amount :)
