Sci-Fi, fantasy and speculative Indie Authors Review discussion

Hello :) I am not here to promote my book. I have a manuscript only. I am a fantasy writer who is preparing to publish, but I have a slight delay. I need to find my target audience and I need fantasy readers to do so. Please read the first 50 pages of my manuscript, then talk to me about your own tastes in literature. Who (if anyone) does my writing remind you of? Where in a bookstore, would you expect to see my book? If you can’t get through the first few pages because you find it isn’t your genre, no hard feelings. Please, let me know what genre you do read, so I can be sure not to target your genre for marketing and we respectfully part ways.

Angela, I am always up for a beta read. I'm a student, but right now, I have some free time. Feel free to message me if you wish to exchange. I have a book that is at the beta stage myself. (Also dark fantasy).

I just started a beta read for someone else, but would be open to an exchange upon completion (January). Let me read the first few chapters of some of your work prior to a commitment.
