This was a group read in another group close to the book’s release. I actually found myself fascinated with the story and the TV show nailed the casting. I enjoyed it and opted to listen to the second book, which was really, really good.
This book definitely isn’t for everyone. I’m even surprised that I liked it. Joe is so terrible! But, I couldn’t stop reading😏

I sure will.
My son started season 2 says it’s great. (He did not read either book.)

He watched the whole thing yest. Only came out of his room to get food. No PS4 so you know it was awesome.
I’ve read both books. In season #1, they made changes (I read a summary of the differences) but they nailed the important characterizations so well it wasn’t noticeable until the ending.

Whoa the 2nd season is what a twist especially with the surprise!

I know! I’m really missing Bosch right now. Three more months...
FYI, I dragged out Jack Ryan but we finished it last week🙁

You need to, I am so into it, but I don’t want to finish it too fast, but now my book hold came in so I need to finish it.

I don’t pretend to understand the translation between the two mediums. I read an interview Michael Connelly did on the topic, discussing the Bosch book and TV series, and it was enlightening. There were serious points of view that made sense and I just found the process was thoughtful and based on their experience in knowing what works and doesn’t. So, I’ve decided to just trust they know what they’re doing and why.

I’m talking about third book.
Sorry about that!
Per imbd, she has writing credits for both seasons, 20 episodes. Not sure if she’ll write a third book but she said “maybe” when I asked about two years ago.

Per the author’s website, it says she’s currently writing the third book in the “Joe Goldberg” series.
