I never did it before also, just heard about it on youtube channels!
I think 3 chapters a week sounds good too! My edition is in Portuguese (I am from Brazil, but it is also 27 chapters, so its okay!)

(This is also my first time doing a buddy read. 🥺)
This sounds lovely, and exciting. I'm also in. :D

Also the schedule is so unrestrictive, it's perfect.

So here is our reading schedule that we will be following during our buddy read in order to make it fun and not stressful!!!!!!
On January 4, on Saturday, we will start reading D..."
I think it is a great schedule!
We will discuss here in the group?

Nice to meet someone that is also from Brazil here! Your edition is from Darkside Books too?

But next week I will keep up!
It is sort of a re read for me, I read when I was in high school (about 10 years ago) and I loved it back then, but I dont remember very well....

I’m kind of behind in that so instead I will give my spoilery thoughts for Chp. 1-3 since I didn’t have time last week!!!!
I LOVE THE GOTHIC VIB..."
I am also a little behind, I am on chapter 5 now and I hope I will catch up this week on the reading.
Overall I am also LOVING the gothic vibe and the writing is so much more fluid than what I remember. No matter how much this story has been showed in all types of media, count Dracula still is a very intriguing character with a unique mythology... There are characteristics that are very unique of this book (like his relationship with wolves and the mirror aspect and the fact that que FREAKING CRAWLS IN A WALL).
What I thought was funny is that in today's view it is so easy to read Jonathan's diary and start screaming in your head 'everything is wrong with this place, RUN', because there is so many things that are normal in today's horror and the story is, after all, so popular (many of this tropes this book created). But, overall, the fact that this story goes on in a time where there was no technology available for Jonathan to reach anyone or to escape after he entered the castle makes the feeling of isolation so much worse than a more modern horror book and I think the fact that this book makes me feel a little claustrophobic is the best part of it.
How can we organize the reading and our goals?
