Dai
Prince x Circus Performer
- Based off of Phantom of the Opera (loosely)

message 2: by Dai (last edited Dec 20, 2019 06:41PM) (new)

Dai
So some ideas I have for the plot (two ideas)

The Circus Performer takes on the role of the phantom:
It is the prince's birthday and the performers come to the party as entertainers. The show is going well until the "freak" comes out. The circus performer presents herself gracefully but is laughed at due to the performer's deformed appearance. The prince stops the performance immediately.

The Prince takes on the role of the phantom:
A beautiful circus performer and her fellow friends are invited to the castle to perform. Upon her arrival, things become bizarre, especially when she meets a mysterious stranger. (assuming mxf, this can be changed if requested)

So those are my two ideas! Let me know if any appeal to you! :)

Oooo! I like it...The second maybe? I cannot choose!

Dai
Haha!! I am glad you like it!! We can do the second one if that appeals to you more! We can just go from there and make it more interesting :D

I am thinking for the characters maybe name, age, appearance, and if you want to get a little more in depth personality and history? (I might do this to kinda give my character a little more depth) Either way though is totally up to you!

I'm so bad a personality, but I'll try! Would you like pictures as well?
And as for the plot, I'd prefer to play the male role.
And now that I'm thinking about it...I like the first more!

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

honestly I have no clue XD
You pick...I'm cool with anything.

message 7: by Dai (new)

Dai Haha!! Pictures would be great and awesome!! The first we can do! I honestly am thinking about it too and I think that would be really interesting to play out.

Alright, the first one it is then. Is there anymore to the plot? or...?

I was thinking for a further plot idea is that the prince becomes relatively infatuated with the mysterious circus performer however, trouble arises when his old childhood friend becomes extremely jealous of her (this kinda would be the friend taking on the role of Raoul). The prince sees the beauty in the circus performer, even with her imperfections (I am thinking for her imperfection, she will have the skin condition vitiligo, having lower social acceptance in the older times). However, she mysteriously disappears. The prince shouldn't care right? After all, his father hopes he will marry his childhood friend...

That is an idea I had to further the plot!

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Great, Love it. What is the skin condition?

message 11: by Dai (new)

Dai It's like where part of your skin turns white and you loose skin color. It kinda looks like skin is in a sense "flaking off". :)

Ruling isn't all that it seems

Silas | Ben | Everett
|21|
|Crown Prince of Nephlestia|
|Face Claim is KJ Apa|
Image result for KJ Apa
|Personality| Very charming and good-natured. Although he isn’t used to talking with many people his own age, so he can be a bit shy at first. Except for his younger sister, he often feels misunderstood by everyone around him so he’s desperately searching for someone to confide in. Used to being ignored or lied to, he’s not very trusting. And he does not always react maturely to being told what to do or when given advice. He likes to laugh and have a good time and does not take his responsibilities as a prince that seriously yet. Though he is good at giving the proper persona of a prince.

|History| Silas' fathers dying. So he knows he'll have to step up his game soon enough .Has spent most of his life being closely watched by the palace and the country. He hasn’t had much say in his life choices, which became increasingly straining as he got older. Recently, he’s been fighting with his father and grandfather over the fate of his little sister. They are negotiating with several countries for the husband of her arranged marriage. Silas is furious that they aren’t even giving her the opportunity to find love. He’s gotten tired of playing the role of the perfect prince. At night he has been frequently sneaking out and hanging out in the gardens or on the roof. This is the only time he can relax and just do whatever he wants.
|Likes| He travels a lot, and loves entertainers, to the point where he's been trained in most gymnastic areas
|ect| Speaks four languages, and has some medical knowledge.

|| Bella Vera Lovegood || 20, Circus Performer Acrobat
fc Willow Harlow

description description description

|| Personality ||—————————————————————————

She masks her pain with a smile. The letters from her family and comfort from the members of the circus are the only way she can ever feel normal. She is gentle and although very isolated from the normal world, she still remains kind. Some may compare her to the personality of Cinderella as she is graceful, considerate, and caring with a hint of sass. She however is very guarded and remains distant from most. The only way she can escape from her thoughts is through the art of acrobats.

Kindness from the "outside world" is surprising to her. She is a sad individual and she is broken - her eyes blanketed with the sadness of her heart, however she is still hopeful that someday she will be accepted.

|| History || ——————————————————————————

It all started with once upon a time. That's how all stories start right? Bella's story did not start from a happily ever after - it was rather the opposite. An orphan as a child, she grew up most of her early childhood in the orphanage before she was adopted by her favorite custodian, Mr. Lovegood. He was the one person who didn't look at her differently because of her skin condition, he thought the young little girl was more than that. Due to bullying which had already occurred at the orphanage, she was privately taught under the super vision of her adoptive mother, a retired school teacher. She was grateful for her new family and couldn't ask for anything else.

The story however had just begun.

With what they could afford, they let the young Bella get lessons for her acrobatic talents. She was successful and even her teacher was rather impressed.

Bella grew up rather sheltered and though she had a loving household, she was sad- every time she went outside people would point at her. Some would laugh, some would stare with shock, others would treat her like an anomaly.

At sixteen, Mrs. Lovegood fell ill and Mr. Lovegood could not not afford to pay for all of the treatments. Bella could not stand the thought of loosing her and knowing that she was different, Bella joined the circus, leaving a letter that she will one day return. Hopefully, she could gain the money needed for her mother's treatment, even though she knew the sacrifice would cause great pain.

Dai Sorry if her history seems weird. I didn't want her history to be too tragic but I felt like her history wasn't great xD

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I like it XD How should we start?

message 22: by Dai (new)

Dai Maybe at the Castle and his birthday is that day and they are preparing for the party? :D

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Perfect. Do you want me to start? Keep in mind I'm terrible at starting.

message 24: by Dai (new)

Dai I can start! :D

The birds chirped gleefully, a charming sort of sound that would bring joy to one's ears. It was a sound that calmed the young Bella as she awoke from another harrowing nightmare. Her heart calmed as she looked around, the sun coming through the travelers' tents. A gentle smile crossed her face as she glanced upon her sleeping peers, a realization that her nightmare was just that - a nightmare.

She rose from the floor, wrapping her blanket around her as she tip-toed out the small tent. In the distance she looked at the castle and the town surrounding it - she could only describe the scene as something from a child's imagination. It was pure, beautiful, and untouched by the outside world.

It was a beautiful morning - the stars fading into the painted sky. The clouds were pink as they floated past the sun waking up, gleaming yellow and orange. The sky could only be described as one waking up from a perfect dream. The hills in the distant glistened in the morning mist, the hills lavender in color under the morning sun. It was as if the heavens had kissed the Earth.

In the distance past the town, there laid the Castle. It was a sight for sore eyes.

The castle seemed to twinkle as the sun danced across it. The immense castle reaching past the pink clouds into another world. The stone walls though kept intruders out, seemed to welcome the strangers outside. The sight was one that would be kept in her memories.

Looking upon the castle, a quiet chuckle escaped her as she recalled as a young child her want to live in the castle and become a member of royalty but alas, she realized that was a dream far out of reach. She was an acrobat and simply just that, a thought that did not bother her - or at least so she says.

"Good morning," a young woman appeared out of the tent. She was completely white from head to toe. The woman's skin was as white as the snow on Christmas day and her eyes were the only thing slightly different in color apart from her clothes.

"Good morning Clara," Bella replied as the woman approached her.

"Did the sun wake you up?"
"Not exactly," Bella said as her cheeks became a light pink. "However, I must admit that I feel more awake from the sun. It truly is a beautiful morning."

The young woman nodded, "I feel like I am still dreaming!"

Bella smiled, her movement indicating agreeance. "I wish this was a dream." She mused at the thought. If this was a dream, everything today would be perfect, nothing but love and acceptance; hatred and outsiders would cease to exist. Alas, that was only a beautiful dream.

"Come Bella, why don't you and I make breakfast for the others. I am sure the smell will awaken the rest," Clara gleamed.

Bella smiled and followed her back into the tent. Forever, that moment of peace would remain in her memories. The peace she had would soon leave as today was the day the circus had travelled to see an important member of their audience - the crowned prince of Nephlestia.

The musky smell of books was the only thing that filled the air, as Silas worked is way around his personal library, one that he'd stocked to the brim with all sorts of information. Grinning to himself, the prince grabbed a book labeled 'A water for elephants' one of his favorite pieces of fiction. Sy had woken hours ago, wanting to have the extra time in the morning to go through the library, before the performers had arrived.

sliding his ladder over to the far wall silas huffed and looked around. A moments rest was what he was permitted or at least that's what he felt like. A gentle whoosh of entering air was the only thing the man heard next as a gaggle of people entered. His butlers, maids, chefs, they all were curious as to what was coming.

"Your highness-" The butler began, stepping forward "The performers arrive in merely three hours, don't you think you should be eligible?" Silas wasn't surprised by the harshness instead he merely chuckled and nodded "Lets get this started...also, Jamie?" Looking at the nearest maid he orders "Go to the circus' camp, and give them this" He stuck out a bound paper, its information containing that if their performance was swell enough, he'd give one of the best performers a large check..

Walking with the individuals, the butlers get the male royal into suiting clothing, a simple dressing uniform of his kingdom. Wincing softly, as the prince was scrubbed down, his ribs had been injured nights before and it seemed to have been causing him discomfort.

Taking a bite of his apple, Silas grimaced and watched from his windowseal "Be sure to have a meal ready for my group, this has to be well planned." He doesn't give another word about this topic.

The performers were packing their things to make the journey to the kingdom; the tents gently falling towards the Earth. Collecting their things, a man in uniform walked towards the circus master which caught the attention of Bella.

"Do you think there is a problem?" Bella inquired as she nudged Clara's arm. Clara turned her attention towards the man in uniform and raised an eyebrow. "I certainly hope not."

"Maybe the prince threw a tantrum," a deep voice huffed.

Clara turned her head and teasingly punched the figure in the stomach. "Oh shut it you." Bella turned her head and shook her head as the man laughed.

It was none Amell who always managed to crack a joke. His large muscular arms and legs were covered in tattoos, his body incredibly in shape. He had to be as after-all, that was his act.

As he smiled, his brown curled mustache twitched. "Hey, I am just guessing."

"Well if your guess is right, that's going to cost us a paycheck," another voice stated with annoyance. The small group looked over towards the voice.

"Sam, I am sure Amell is wrong. Now let's try to remain positive about this," Clara stated. Sam ruffled his jet black hair and huffed. He was a handsome man with dark skin that glimmered in the light and chocolate eyes that could melt those who stared.

The circus master shook the man in uniform's hand and walked up to the performers, a wide smile plastered on his pale face.

"I assume we are fired?" Amell sneered. Clara once again hit him in the chest.

The circus master shook his head, "No, in fact it is good news! Gather around everyone!"

The performers gathered, everyone stopping their tasks. Everyone circled around the circus master, curiously wandering towards him. "The prince said if the performance goes well, he will give the best performer a large check! Consider this a competition!"

The performers cheered, a wide grin placed on everyone's face. Bella's heart raced with excitement and dread. She had to get this check.

As through the letters, Mrs. Lovegood symptoms briefly improved and she had started to get better but unfortunately, she had become bedridden. Though the money Bella was sending was helping in keeping them from going into debt, money was still falling short and the doctors could not find the true nature of Mrs. Lovegood's illness.

This paycheck she hoped would pay for the best doctor in the country to treat her mother's symptoms and hopefully, cure her once and for all. Was she too optimistic?

"You alright Bella?" Clara asked Bella. Bella had realized she had been caught in her own world as the excited chatter of the performers filled her ears. She nodded quickly, "Yes! Just fine! I was thinking of the possibilities of what I could do with the money."

"Really? You looked like someone had smacked you in the face," Amall stated matter-of-factly.

"Oh no! It's just shock, merely shock," she said quickly. It was obvious she was hiding something but the other performers knew she wouldn't tell- it was something in her past she had not revealed since she had joined the circus.

"Well, if I get the money, I am going to buy myself some wine and maybe buy some land," Amall gleamed.

Clara rolled her eyes, "Of course you'd buy some wine."

The circus master shouted through the chatter of the crowd. "Attention please! Attention please! Now I want you all to perform your best so as soon as we get to castle and get settled, start practicing immediately. I will take care of everything else. If I calculated this correctly, we are expected in less than two hours. Hurry your packing!"

The performers cheered and disbanded from the line, their pace quickened. Bella began assisting folding up the tents but her mind was barely there, her mind only on the check and her hopes of obtaining it.

((So sorry for the wait! I had a hard time getting around to writing this week due to classes.))
