Roadhouse was a really good movie, if you haven't seen it you really should.

My 9th grade physical science teacher went through grade school with him. She said he'd wear leotards to school (because he helped his mom teach dance after school) - the guys never picked on him. Could you imagine that?!! In Texas! Houston, no less. I think that's awesome - he had the respect of the football team and everyone else. I had several schoolmates who took dance at his mom's dance school where he was still teaching on occasion when he had the time. They all revered him very much - I've always thought of him as a dancer first, and then and actor... and when Dirty Dancing came out... WHOOOOOO BOY! :) Nobody puts baby in a corner.

His equestrian center was around the block from my mom's home in Houston.

He was a great guy by any standard. I hope he's getting to dance up a storm in heaven with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and Gregory Hines and Ruth Page and Donald O'Connor and Ruth St. Denis and Sammy Davis, Jr. and Cyd Charisse and Gene Kelly because if I were him, that'd be heaven to me. :)

Heidi has reemerged from the cave of the bears! Hail, bear Queen.

I really thought he was going to lick it, even though that is one of the worst cancers. I didn't think too much of him until he got the cancer, and then I read about him and he sounded like such a great great guy, which Heidi just confirmed. I did like him in Ghost, never saw Roadhouse but I keep hearing about it.

I saw Roadhouse and yes, I admit the boy in me loved it, I kept wanting him to kick some ass! And he did!

I liked him in Next of Kin, too.

Outsiders was a really good movie too.

I had completely forgotten he was in that! Wow. Blast from the past.
