Patrick Swayze Died Too Young

Roadhouse was a really good movie, if you haven't seen it you really should.

His equestrian center was around the block from my mom's home in Houston.
He was a great guy by any standard. I hope he's getting to dance up a storm in heaven with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and Gregory Hines and Ruth Page and Donald O'Connor and Ruth St. Denis and Sammy Davis, Jr. and Cyd Charisse and Gene Kelly because if I were him, that'd be heaven to me. :)
Rest In Peace, Patrick Swayze. Lots of love and every good wish for his family and friends...

Outsiders was a really good movie too.

You suppose he's reunited with Farley doing that Chippendales SNL skit?

Found these quotes from him on his IMDB profile:
"I believe in a higher power. I've studied Eastern philosophies, and I've studied the Koran. We've devalued everything worth believing in. Now we're tearing into religion. A line should be drawn. The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) and The Da Vinci Code (2006) borders on that. I was glued to the book, but afterwards I thought, "Oh my Lord, now we're tearing into God and our faith." Are we going to be turning into a reality show, too? I certainly hope not."
"I have a great deal of faith in faith; if you believe something strongly enough, it becomes true for you. I would like to believe that my father is right here with me in this room and that he's my guardian angel, that there's life after death -- because if there isn't, why are we here? I don't believe that just flesh and bones can contain from the point of view of physics this very real recorded energy inside of us. Whether it's true or not, we need to believe it."

Here are what the Latin words mean.
The trumpet, scattering its awful sound
Across the graves of all lands
Summons all before the throne.
When you hear the music you will see there is nothing terrible about it, at all.
For Patrick.

What an awesome guy. I am sure he is doing fine wherever he is.
And I'm sending out some happy-love vibes to his family and friends.

He was 57, people. Reminds me to cherish the time we get on this planet because it's not guaranteed.
I don't mean to sound maudlin, but I don't think Swayze got the credit he deserved as a decent actor. And I fucking love Roadhouse.
