The following quote is incorrectly attributed. It does not appear in Don Quixote:

At least, the Spanish quote does not appear in the Spanish original, and the English quote doesn't appear in Ormsby's translation.

It appears to be from Man of La Mancha:

Not to diminish the beauty of the quote, because I do like it, but Cervantes was never so overtly cheesy about the meaning of Don Quixote. It's part of the reason of why the book has had so many different interpretations over the centuries, including fanfiction bad enough to make him write his own sequel.
