Holly | 4 comments Hey guys I'm looking for someone like Kyon from the Kricket series. If you haven't read the series I'll try to describe. Basically he's your typical rich and powerful villain and for reasons believes she belongs to him. For the most part we're led to believe that he's an awful person but would do anything to have her and is obsessed with her but would never hurt her.

Also similar would be Dmitri in book 4 of Vampire Academy.

That's the kind of villain/anti-hero I'm looking for, any recs? Nothing historical please. Thanks!

Love Kyon! Oh man, I was going to mention a TON of historicals since that whole dynamic is really popular in that genre.

The This Man series by Jodi Ellen Malpas comes to mind, though he's not as badass as kyon and the storyline is very dramatic. It's contemporary.

Heat by R. Lee. Smith is also really fantastic just... the main villain love interest is kyon times TEN. He's EVIL. So be warned. It's sci fi.

But my top recommendation for villainous heroes is always Keiran from the Fear Me Series by B.B. Reid. I don't usually go around telling people I adore this book cause dark heroes aren't everyone's cup of tea, but if you love Kyon... you'll love Keiran lol

Wow, we have similar tastes in the type of heroes we like. I love dark romance featuring powerful, ruthless, villainous heroes who's only weakness is the heroine. No matter how vile or cruel, they're obsessed with the heroine and won't be able to live without her.

Similar anti-heroes/villains are as follows:

Stronger series -Jay Marie (warning -more like an erotica thriller because the hero is really a villain who's physically beaten the heroine badly to prevent her from escaping, but obsessed with her to the point where I can't see him living without her)

Blue Eyed Monsters first two books -Ginger Talbot (not for the faint of heart -I look at it more as a psychopathic gorgeous villain who reluctantly falls for the heroine and I loved watching his feelings grow. Their relationship progression was very well written and fascinating to read: Loved seeing the villain change from wanting to turn the heroine into a mindless slave to appreciating her intrinsic qualities and falling obsessively in love with her)

SZ | 1 comments Hello!

I‘m new to this group and I‘m so happy I found it. Since this Pandemic has startend I have rekindled my teenage love of Historical romances. I am addicted to reading them and love the sexy Alpha Male.

I‘m looking for authors/books similar to:

Kresley Cole – I was blown away by her MacCarrick Brothers series- Courtland was the best!
Meagan McKinney- Fair is the Rose. Cain was so yummy!
Marsha Canham - Under the Desert Moon - Christian was omg!

Some other authors I‘ve read - Brenda Joyce; Samantha James; Penelope Williamson, Heather Graham, Shirlee Busbee, Judith McNaught.

TIA!

Have you read American Heiress by Daisey Goodwin? It's exactly what you're looking for. I adore Kresley Cole--her series that starts with The Master (not historical) is phenominal.
