Maybe I should have listened to the Tom Hanks audio of The Dutch House by Ann Patchett, which has had some rave reviews.

Eeeee Now I feel bad Brenda, I see you really liked it! Actually, the things you liked about it were ones I did too; the era, the references to the concerns of the day, all of that. There just was not as much of that as I felt there should be.

Yes, and it is a great thing that so many people enjoy such different things... I was really sad not to like An Uncommon Woman I had been so looking forward to it I am glad that you and many other people enjoyed it though, it seems clear the author put so much into it.

I was really impressed with every aspect of this book! Five stars, and I may have to hunt up the other books written by this author.

I have done my 'N' with The Railway Children by E. Nesbit

which doubles for my annual classics reading list, as I somehow never read this one. I really enjoyed it, four stars and review.
