Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) I'm always trying to find ways to incorporate more classics into my reading. Some years I'm more successful than others. Last year wasn't great in terms of numbers, but the classics I got around to reading I really enjoyed, for the most part. So, to me, that's a win! ;-)

I'm going to shoot for four challenges this year, overlapping books as much as possible while still having choice. If I finish all of the challenges, great. If not, that's okay. Hopefully, I'll get around to at least a few and I'll carry over whatever doesn't get done to the next year.

You have an excellent list. Of the ones I’ve read, The Woman in White, Ethan Frome, Watership Down, and Kindred stand out. I liked them all. Good luck!

Luke (korrick) I'm glad to see you doing the Quest for Women, Kristina. I'll be looking forward to your thoughts.

message 9: by Brina (new)

Brina Kristina, I love these lists especially the crime novels. I will have to copy some onto my future challenges. Have fun?

Brina Not meant as a question mark ;)

Sue K H (sky_bluez) | 3694 comments Great lists Kristiana. I'll be especially curious what you think of Clouds of Witness. I read it this year for my women's challenge never having her of it or the author. I thought it was really well written. I also loved The Scarlet Pimpernel, Woman in White and Tinker Tailor and Uncle Tom's Cabin.

I'm hoping to get to Zorba, Ripley, Yearling and 20,000 Leagues next year too and maybe even Watership Down. Good luck with all of your challenges.
