I really enjoyed this book! I don't normally enjoy this sort of writing style, but it really, really worked for me! I loved getting to know Fitz. I think he's a great character and I can't wait to see his future adventures. I also really love Fool and can't wait to learn more about him!

Brock (brockroberts) I feel so guilty that I haven't started this yet.

I agree! I felt devestated for him several times throughout the book. I think it helped me connect with him more deeply than I would have otherwise.

I thought her writing was absolutely beautiful! It kind of reminded me of a Dickens novel in a way- they have a similar way of creating a certain tone and feel to the book. And I was surprised at how much I connected with even most of the secondary characters. Usually in a fantasy book I need there to be multiple POVs for me to make those connections, but I was able to do so easily with this book. Every time I picked up this book I was able to fully immerse in the story. Can't wait to read the sequels this coming year!
