What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

The book is part of a series about a family that lives in a small town. The h is older (23ish) when her brother forces her to go to college (she is incredibly intelligent) because she has a huge crush on her brothers boyfriend who is also her childhood friend. While at school a professor (H) gives her a failing grade on a paper she writes and she gets offended. I remember them meeting (accidentally) in a bar and they end up having feelings for each other. I also remember her getting into fights through the wall with her neighbor who ends up being the professor’s son. The h does take the H home with her to visit her family and angst ensues with the childhood friend/brothers boyfriend. This book was fabulous and I’ve been searching google forever please help!!!
