This is going to be a little different as we are are going to approach Author of the Month differently from now on. As per this thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

So long story short:
- Each person gets to nominate their 10 favorite authors and/or authors you want to read in 2015.
- If possible list a month (or 2 months) next to an author you are voting on, and say why you think the author should be read in that month - for example if a movie is coming out by that author the next month or if the sequel to a series is coming out in the month etc.

Then when the nominations end on the 10th of Dec we can sit and sort out the most voted authors and allocate them months. If there are a few that only got 1 vote and we only have for example 6 that got multiple votes, we put the remaining ones in a poll. And the top 6 voted ones go in. Then we have 10 days to sort it out by month.

So at the end of this we will have 12 authors that each will be read in 2 months, meaning there will be an over lap of 2 authors a month.

Remember you can nominate authors that have been nominated before, also authors others nominate. Please just don't nominate:
*Maria V. Snyder
*Diana Gabaldon
*Eoin Colfer
As they are still active authors we are reading.

Lauren Smith 1. Catherynne M. Valente - one of my favourite authors. Her new novel, Radiance, is due 18 August. She has two other books out in 2015: The Boy Who Lost Fairyland (Fairyland #4) in March, and Matryoshka (Deathless #2).
- August, September, October

2. Scott Lynch - I love his Gentleman Bastard series. Book 4, The Thorn of Emberlain, is due out in 2015.
- Can't give a month as not sure when the book will be released.

3. N.K. Jemisin - I loved the Inheritance Cycle. Looking forward to her new novel, The Fifth Season, due out in August. I also want to read her Dreamblood duology for the Serial Killer challenge.
- August, September, October

4. S.L. Grey - I enjoyed The Mall, and I want to read the rest of the Downside trilogy - The Ward and The New Girl.
- any month, as these books are already out.

5. Ken Liu - one of my favourite short story writers. His first novel - The Grace of Kings (Dandelion Dynasty #1) - is due out in April. He also translates Chinese sff into English.
- May, June

6. Jeff VanderMeer - I want to read The Southern Reach trilogy - Annihilation, Authority and Acceptance.
- any month, as these books all came out in 2014.

7. Charles Stross - I loved his novella Equoid, and now I want to check out his espionage/horror/humour series, Laundry Files, starting with The Atrocity Archives.
- any month, as this series has been running for a while.

8. Joe Hill. I want to read Horns before I watch the movie.
- any month, but preferably sooner rather than later.

9. Lauren Beukes. I still need to read Broken Monsters.
- Any month

10. Kameron Hurley. Her novel Empire Ascendant, book 2 in the Worldbreaker Saga, is coming out in 2015. Also, she's one of my favourite sff authors and always pushes the boundaries and breaks genre traditions.
- can't say what month, not sure when the new book will be out.
