From The Heir, I already see some plot holes.
First off, let me pray to god that Eadlyn isn't as stupid as America (no offense to those who liked America).
But the plot holes I already see:
Usually in a monarchy, the power is passed down to the male.
Did (view spoiler)[America and Maxon (hide spoiler)] not have a boy, or what?
So since this book is revolved around a female going through "the Selection", does that mean--I don't care how sexist this sounds--that whoever Eadlyn picks, the guy will have the most control (I mean, Maxon's dad had more control over the kingdom then his mother, who was mainly there as a show) or will Eadlyn still have the most control because she has royal blood???

I feel like The Heir is going to be another version of The Selection.
I can already see it:
For thirty-five girls guys, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns tuxedos and priceless jewels suits. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon beautiful Princess Eadlyn.

But for America Singer Eadlyn, being Selected having to undergo the Selection is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen a guard, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home comfort zone to enter a fierce competition for a crown choose between 35 guys in the Selection she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon a guy in the Selection. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself--and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

Idk I'm like a little disappointed about the heir, Ik were still going to hear about maxon ( my husband don't even think of him , though Ik it's impossible ) and America, but like it won't be their story !!! It's like OMG !!! Why r u going to do this to me !! Tell me whatever about Maxon and America, but don't stop their love story !!!! :00000
