We will be reading Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John le Carré as a Buddy Read in January. Since there is an existing thread please use this thread for book discussions this month

or

Nidhi Kumari | 246 comments It’s same with me. But I have already missed it twice with other groups , this time I will give it priority.

I missed it at least once. Will try to get to it this month.

Nidhi Kumari | 246 comments This will be my first try in this (spy , Cold War, thriller) genre. I hope I will understand it , I lack brains to put two and two together where intricate plotting is concerned, even in movies I can’t sort out who belongs to which gang, who is double crossing and above all why are they killing each other . It’s hilarious but for this reason I always stay away from this genre.
If I like this book, I will proceed to fulfil my long cherished desire to read Godfather by Mario Puzo. I liked the Indian version movie.

Jazzy Lemon (jazzylemon) | 254 comments Well, i can't give this one priority as the others are all part of different challenges, but i think you'll love it because I read The Spy Who Came in from the Cold and it was smashing. I read The Godfather too, years ago. I've got a paperback copy here so might have another go at it.

message 8: by Brina (new)

Brina I’m not reading until later in the month but I’m definitely on board. It is a paperback so I’m able to bring on vacation. That is my goal anyway. Of course if I finish everything else I will start sooner.
