Really loved The Sand Pebbles, great book.

And Then There were None by Agatha Christie,the perfect murder mystery,easily Agatha Christie's best book.

"Gorky Park" stands out over the years: exotic setting, great characters, resolute hero.

Animal Farm by George Orwell.

Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy.

I've read it a dozen times and get something new out of it every time.

New author for me and loved it

I cannot recommend Where the Crawdads Sing enough!

I put up this list on another mystery /thriller reading group - authors who.wrote series featuring a woman sleuth, ones that don't get mentioned a lot but whose characters and writing were really interesting. Would love to see their book series turned into TV series.
