What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

It starts with a girl looking for a gift for her boyfriend's birthday. A shop appears that was not there before. The shop keepers in a white haired djinn (not a spoiler as you find this out very early on) he gives her a board game. She throws a party her and her friends cut out paper versions of themselves and use those as pieces for this board game. They all pass out and wake up in a different dimension and the white haired shop keeper is there and they have to escape. What is this book called? I read it when I was a teenager and it's driving me mad !

This is The Forbidden Game by L.J. Smith. This is the omnibus edition - it was also published as separate volumes, The Hunter, The Chase and The Kill.
