I love music...all kinds. But the song from 2014 that is stuck in my head is the theme from Outlander (TV series). I hear it in my head all the time. Can you tell Outlander, both the book & Starz Series & Jamie Fraser (Sam), had a big impact on me this year?!?

Lol! As it did a lot of us. I will always associate it with the series.

What is the title? Do you know?

It was hard for me to find songs from this year. So many I listened to came out last year and are still playing on the charts for this year.

My audio reading has severely lessened the amount of music I listen to - oops.

Interesting as it's also influenced the music I listen to. Where I used to always have music playing driving, cleaning, etc., it's now often audio books instead. One thing that hasn't changed is that I walk or exercise to music not books. The music really ramps me up to walk faster or exercise harder. I tried substituting audio books but that's one time they don't do it for me.

I have some songs that have hit me as perfect for a certain book/character and I think of that book wheneveer I hear the song.

I also have dropped in on a few authors playlists that they put together for books they have written. I did that with KMM back a few years ago - and bought all her ex-husband's albums that he wrote to go with the books.

More recently I liked a lot of the music on 50 shades of Grey playlist.

And I agree for exercise music can really be a good thing. Trainer Sam will put on Penni music when I'm there - then I have no excuses lol.

I made my own playlist for walking. That way I control the tempo without even thinking about it. Start off a little slow to warm up, then each song I have on the list ramps up until I'm all but running to keep up with the beat, and then start slowing down again to cool down as I walk. Music is a huge motivator for me...always has been.
