My husband just bought the first two books of that and I am dying to read them! I've heard the show (which I loved) followed it pretty well too?

@Sonnie I would say they changed quite a lot of details but stayed pretty faithful to the overall plot!

Ohhh definitely can't wait to read it then! At least I know I'll have time to get to them before the next season comes out lol

Looks like you've got some great books to read. Looks like a lot of us are working on series this year. I started that last year and managed to catch up on 20 series so I'm continuing it through to this year. Good luck on your challenges.

I read them before I watched the show. I loved the first book but got bored in book 2. I will be continuing the series though at some point.

So I'm Six out of Eight Books into the Witcher series - (chronologically speaking) I loved the first two, liked three, felt a bit meh about four and five and quite liked six again!

Finished Red, White & Royal Blue - I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would

And House of Earth and Blood came today I'm excited hehehe

I loved RW&RB when I read it last year! So good!

Yaaaaaaay - I’m already halfway through 🙈 I couldn’t put it down

I’m starting the SJM one tomorrow. It got delivered yesterday but I wanted to finish my current read first. I can’t wait.

So why should I read it Laura? Its another beast of a book what makes it worth it?

Honestly! The characters are really compelling, and it’s just enjoyable to read. As i mentioned on the other Thread, it’s not my favourite of hers, but neither of the first books in her other series were either - they tend to be more leading up to what’s to come!

100% agreed with you, Laura! Is just some black magic happening with SJM's books that hook you like that!

Finished Bitterblue and currently reading The King of Crows


Bitterblue started well but I ended up a bit disappointed throughout, it just didn't have the same pull as the first two instalments of the series had (at least to me)

Also finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - finally got round to starting this trilogy (and I'm only considering the ones written by Stieg Larssen)

And starting Cinder

So two series to be finished and two more started!

That's fair, I read all three of the Graceling Realm books so far apart that it was like returning to a well loved world. Don't know if it would've been the same reading them back to back. I want her to go back and write more in the world!!!

How did you like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo?
Hope you enjoy Cinder! I'm the anomaly who only thought it was alright. But still a worthwhile read.

I feel like the Millennium series is worth reading until the third book, then I heard it takes another turn and is not as good as the ones written solely by Stieg Larsson

So far I'm with you Brittany I'm finding Cinder just alright - not too crazy about it but not disliking it either!

I think for me its another one of those if I had read the series when it came out I would've enjoyed it more.

Started another series with City of Brass! I really enjoyed the first instalment I have to say!
