Becky (beckyofthe19and9) | 1894 comments Walking to Aldebaran (though I admit that the time aspect is a bit abstract in this.)

(The time theme aspect might be a spoiler though.)

message 12: by Meredith (new)

Meredith | 1777 comments Mammoth by John Varley has time travel and mammoths, so it was a pretty fun read.

message 13: by Arthur (new)

Arthur Chappell | 33 comments The Time Machine Surely the book that started the whole shebang should be included (actually A Christmas Carol also involves some time travel but in a supernatural way) Octavia Butler's Kindred should be there too

The Quantum Magician by Derek Künsken. If I did Top 5 lists this would have been in it for last year. A tremendous debut that brought a tear to my eye.
