I can view it right where I stated; the last picture added winds up on 'page 2' of the gallery as it stands now.

But the image is there, right? It is present in our gallery?
It's gloomy on my screen too, but you could temporarily boost up the brightness on your monitor...there's only four still-photos of this perennially un-credited star that I have come across so far.
no banana on Warren Mitchell
Here's another try at a face-forward shot:

#56 is a really interesting candidate for a quiz. We've all seen her in two VERY big classic flicks; yet I bet we never thought twice about her afterwards. Even though she's a strikingly beautiful girl and was a capable actress. In this case, I'm choosing the worst pic of her I can find but wait til you realize who this is ...

#57 is a comedian from the Great Depression --and he was not an 'unknown'. He was an absolute sensation; holding sway as one of America's top-billed stars for practically two straight years. Stage, screen, radio, nightclub. He then declined in such a weird manner that he was almost completely forgotten about forever after. Even today, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who knows his name.
Who is this man?
Who is this man?

Jill nabs Heather Angel. Three cherries!
Heather Angel was the dark-eyed, fawn-like little girl in Hitchcock 'Lifeboat'. Also the maid in Hitchcock's 'Suspicion'. Who'd've thought!

He was not a cast member of any other star's radio show; but he did make the transition from vaudeville to radio in the first place thanks to an existing radio star's program.
I swore I would never spring a radio-only talent on you guys, and I haven't. This gentleman made a handful of comedy movies; and was also just simply a popculture icon of the day of whom everybody knew.

He made his first splash on the Rudy Vallee show. He's the guy who came up with "Wanna buy a duck?"
(though I confess I have no idea what the latent wit is in this line)
...and for whatever reason, his recordings just did not get saved at the time; so he just vanished from public memory...sad

Yes! A win for Betsy.
Megs Jenkins it is. British character actress who's been in scads of sturdy flicks. Very interesting-looking woman too. I bet she knew her way around a kitchen.

Quiz #59
A similarly popular comic from the 20's & 30s; not as big as Penner but still a contemporary of the Stooges, Laurel & Hardy, etc.
Starred in three movies between '27 and '34.

These gents were in movie after movie for the purpose of boosting morale. Always playing similar roles. One really has to hand it to the British Film Industry. They cranked 'em out. Solid, sturdy, workmanlike productions which entertained.
Anyway the joe pleading with Bernard Lee --I swear --he's in a film we've all seen numerous times.

clue for #60 is that he appeared in Brit TV shows like 'Doctor Who' and 'The Avengers' and he was a principal cast member of yet one other series which I won't name. His filmography includes a few big titles too; with two prominent Brit crime-noirs listed there, at least.

"
The first iteration of the Lord Peter series starring Ian Carmichael was on Masterpiece theater. I'm not sure about the latter versions.
I love the Gorey picture!!!
#60 did usually play a baddie but specifically in the British TV series he co-starred in. For all his other roles he could be variously good or bad; a rake or an ally as the project called for. Other pics:

#55 is a Brit star appearing in a long slew of '30s and '40s comedies, locked-room murder mysteries, period-pieces, espionage, and war films. Hitchcock, Agatha Christie, everything. His co-stars and his directors are numerous and well-known. I see names like Rex Harrison and Conrad Veidt among them.
