This round started off with Jack Warner. You were all up to date when that # started.
And that was because Betsy conquered Roland Curram in a mighty struggle over the weekend, even while under-the-weather.

I remember being asked to include more Canadians in this quizzo, a long while back. Shoulda done it sooner. That 'Doug' (everyone's named 'Doug' up there) is making y'all squirm!
No more clues though. Sink or swim!

Yep. #125 is a Hollywood workhorse, with a lengthy career, and certainly well-known to us all from several extremely famous and beloved titles. This is a shot of him as a very young man. He's a good-looking gent who was always very able in supporting roles but also did fine on the rare instances when he filled out a lead slot.

Me too, Betsy. I am trying to age him in my mind before looking for him
Not from what I can tell with a glance at his bio. He seems to have been a Warner Bros contract player; then briefly went to Universal; then to TV.
Y'all will bite your lip when this guy is revealed because he's very well known to you both
One glimpse of him from one of the 'A' pics he appears in, would give it away.
I might also say he kept his good looks well into his TV career
But as far as films are concerned, I'd go so far as to say that he's got one of the most memorable supporting roles in Warner Bros history

p.s. earlier quiz (#122) Frank Darien, --hotel clerk with spectacles --was also one of the members of the Joad family in 'Grapes of Wrath'

Ah ...you might be on the right track ...at least partially. He is one of DC's flicks and he is not a 'minor' character either; he's one of the principal cast

BTW, I know Jill is working hard on #121, but what about a clue for #124?
#124 is a big, husky, character actor similar to a Mike Mazursky. He invariably plays a muscle-bound 'heavy', a mug, a teamster, a bodyguard, or a henchman. If a western picture, he usually appears as some fearsome fur-trapper or muleskinner who makes everyone apprehensive just by stepping inside the room. Just like Mazursky, he's sometimes in comedies (Abbott/Costello, or Bob Hope frolics)

Thank heavens you are back!!Trust me, Betsy, what I know about Canadian horror films (or any horror films for that matter) is practically zip but when I figured, when Feliks said North America he was being cagey so I went with Canada instead of the US. And the only horror director I could think of was David Cronenberg. Haven't looked for the guy yet since I just got back on but I have hopes.
I said 'North America' only because I'm pretty sure he never worked in GB. But lots of Canadian actors seem to work on either side of the 49th Parallel; so I hedged my answer to include both US & CA. However, I'm too lazy to look up production company credits...

Another pic for Quiz #124, the gorilla. This is from a very famous crime movie; its quintessential for this guy's career in films.

Yes!! Winning answer
He is Dr. Lyman in 'Harvey' (love interest of nurse Peggy Dow) and he is the cowardly 'Steve' in 'WInchester-73' who flees in the wagon, leaving poor Shelley Winters stranded.
wh00 wh00!

I passed right over him in the Scanners cast.
Way to go, Betsy. We had a double there. I think only #124 is left unguessed.
At last. Yes! Correct answer! If he was a snake, he'd of bitten you. You hovered your hand right over him! Lawrence Dane for sure.
Citing 'Stephen Lack' instead. Auugh. Telling me Dane "isn't in any of Cronenberg's big films of that period so you must move your search on to somewhere else". Groan!
Lawrence Dane is in 'Scanners' and also he is one of the four hapless doctors traveling alone in the Canadian wilderness (along with Hal Holden) in 'Rituals'. Precursor both to 'Deliverance' and 'Friday the 13th'.
Whew!

Didn't really expect anything of #124, but that's a great name--Mickey Finn! And he is big and burly.

🙄 Don't remind me, Feliks!
Canada took a beating here this week. Apparently oily-skinned Canadians are chameleon-like, masters of disguise :p
And how about Charles Drake? Was he on the tip of your tongue? I admit I was surprised to learn he was the coward in W-73. Good performance.
