Quiz #135. American. He's been in what looks like to my eyes (a rough count) two dozen of some of the biggest classic movie titles ever.

Quiz #136. A tall, curly-red-haired American with a lengthy career and prolific appearances in gobs of movies.

Quiz #137. More American movie credits than any other; but also has starred in British productions.

...and that is certainly a prime example of a handlebar mustache. he belongs in a barbershop quartet

That Dick Foran guy also had a lively start in show biz. Privileged background; wealth...played football for Princeton, and then a crooner --a singing cowboy. Then a ton of roles as the 'nice guy who the bigger star crowds' out of every story. Sorta like Ralph Bellamy.

Yes, that particular photo is from a late -1960s movie. This star is well-known in both UK & USA from a lengthy career on stage and screen; and worked steadily for the next 10-12 years before their demise.
Quiz #134 --the husky fellow--got his start in 1929; the beginning of a string of various minor roles that lasted all his career.
The picture of him as a sea captain above (not the only time by far, that he played such a role, he also played henchmen, boxers, and bartenders galore) is from 1932 (Charles Laughton flick).
The year before --1931-- he appeared in nine movies; among them a big hit of Edward G. Robinson.
His career as coarse roughneck-type lasted until 1941.

Yes Jill! Good going!
Stan is a sea-captain in 'Island of Lost Souls', a bartender in 'Little Caesar' and a sheriff in both 'Way out West' and 'Destry Rides Again'.
Which one clinched it for you?

#134 started off as a soprano choirboy, then as a young man was a professional boxer. Norma Talmade discovered him thanks to his broken nose.

Oh! Okay, well I don't mind divulging that 'still' is from a gaudy, chintzy, Chelsea nightclub at the start of the glitter-ball era. That's a 'chanteuse', at a tasteless, psychedelic, pick-up lounge.

Alternate photo for Quiz #135, the patrolman. This guy had a busy career and plenty of braggin' rights to A-picture appearances.

I'd go so far as to say that #137 was a "household word" type of name in the field of dance and music; like a Joan Fonteyn or an Isidore Duncan

Are you talking about ballet dancers like Margot Fonteyn and Isadora Duncan?
Ostrich egg. No score.
Yes, Margot Fonteyn (not Joan Fonteyn), pardon. Giants in the field of dance.

Two fer' for Jill.
Tom Fadden is in 'The Big Sleep', 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers', and many, many other films.
