I think #28 is sooo easy because as soon as she is out of her teens, she looks the same way throughout her whole adulthood.
Having her hair down and still with a little bit of 'baby-fat' is the only way to pose you all a stumper.

No banana! I'm surprised. This is quite a famous actress whom I am sure you would know in an instant if I chose a more commonplace photo of her.
Center-parted hair is probably the key.

Quiz #29

This seems like another 'giveaway' to me. The facial features of this actress are so singular and unique; it doesn't matter how antique this photo might be, you should spot this one easily.

Getting close! She's one of my faves in the same league as this mystery-lass. As is Jean Peters (sparing you from guessing her either)
No banana. This lass is not a singer or dancer as far as I recall. She eared in light comedies, romances, and dramas.

In the first photo she is probably only 19. In the second pic, maybe early 20s? But in any case her face and figure have not slimmed down as would become the trait of her more adult figure. She is very willowy, as a more adult woman of 30.
My goodness. I'm shocked. After this picture below, would you still say you don't know this star's name? Is an even more blatant shot called for?

Famous Joan Caulfield who --along with William Holden --inspired JD Salinger.
She's got such characteristic features. Trim waist and high cheekbones and cupid's bow mouth.

The movie Salinger saw them in, by the way was 'Dear Wife' or 'Dear Ruth'. A comedy about the old cliche of a serviceman interceding in correspondence between his buddy and his girl back home.
Yeomen sleuthing from Betsy. Now Jill, aren't you ashamed?

Betsy wrote: "Since this is a game, I don't see any reason to be ashamed of it taking a few guesses."
I mean, 'ashamed' because Joan was not merely another Hollywood face but a part of American literary and cultural history. Famous in more ways than one. Of course it's a game, yes.

I'm surprised to see Betsy Drake clinched so easily. I thought she was only memorable to most viewers from 'People Will Talk' where she starred opposite Cary. She's another actress who had characteristically short hair during her career; so I chose a pic of her with shoulder-length locks to throw off easy guesses. But I suppose there's something quintessential about the shape of her features which shines through to keen eyes, no matter what her hair might be doing.

Betsy Drake was easy if you've ever seen her in a movie llike 'Room for One More.' Jeanne Crain was in 'People Will Talk.'
#33 is a win! Yes!
p.s. ah yes, Betsy Drake was with Cary Grant in 'Every Girl Should Be Married '. My goof.

#31 is said to have had more of an extensive stage career than film career so I will post more pics of him
He's British, a supporting actor, and the movie I am thinking of him in, is a melodramatic romance from '47 taken from a melodramatic romantic British novel

keep trying.
p.s. there's a hidden relationship which binds #31, #32, and #33 together
#32 is the mother of a famous actress we all know and admire
