That is the third Dean Koontz book mentioned in this thread that take place in California! Clearly one of Dean's favorite places since he also lives in California.

I don't dress up my pets :-) Yes, I still have Prada, the magical hedgehog and Indie, the telepathic cat. I am considering a rat as my next pet. Rats are very intelligent and cute.
